We're going to Disney in November and are lucky enough to have my in-laws coming with us to spend the time with our four kids. Since the wife and I are not able to get out to dinner by ourselves very often I thought this trip might afford us the chance to get out for a night. Can anyone provide any info on Celebration Fl? Is it worth taking a trip over and eating in one of the restaurants? If not, has anyone gone to Emeril's and what are your opinions on that restaurant.

Thanks for your time

Gerard

My DH and I have eaten many times at Columbia Restaurant and Cafe D'Antonio, both in Celebration. We really like these places a lot and try to go often even though we are about 45 minutes from there. We really like visiting Celebration and walking around the shops, it is definitely a place to see at least once.

We have never tried Emeril's so hopefully someone else can help you.

Have a great time!

We like the Celebration Town Tavern. Great seafood, nice casual atmosphere.

I prefer Tchoup Chop (also owned by Emeril) over Emeril's for both atmosphere and food. If you want more info. on Emeril's, I would suggest asking on the US board.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAnd, go early and just drive all over the place looking at the homes...They are really something..you can get "lost' just driving around having fun...the farther back you drive the more spectacular the homes....many of them in the 5 mil+ catagory....and no two the same as with so many Florida developments.

enjoy...Ted

Thanks for all the responses. Sounds like a trip to Celebration for dinner will be in the cards for this November.

Thanks again

We really like Boston Garden in Celebration. Nice, casual restaurant. If the weather is nice when you're there in November perhaps the outside seating area will be open.

Well, we live here, so I'm biased...but I think you're wise to venture outside the bubble. Celebration is very non-Disney but it's obviously nearby since it used to be Disney property. We eat downtown a lot and the restaurants that have been mentioned are all good. I'd give it a try.

That's the Town Tavern now. :goodvibes

The expensive homes are mixed in with the rest of us ;) there are some as you come in from 192 - turn left onto Celebration Blvd. Then right to get to the big houses. More as you go down Celebration Ave past Market Street. Turn left on Eastlawn.

That should get you pretty much lost. Find someone walking their dog to give you directions! ;)

Tchoup Chop was EXCELLENT! Dh took me there for our anniversary. There were three waiters for every table, the food was the best I think I've ever had and the service was awesome.

Then we took the ferry over to City Walk. We had a great time.

:thumbsup2

We always enjoy the Celebration Restaurants. Two great meals this week at Columbia. (Can't leave there without trying their now over 100 year old salad. Just don't breath on anyone.:thumbsup2) and the Town Tavern. Excellent Seafood imho. Also another option to consider if in the area, is the Plantation Room at the Celebration Hotel. Excellent Chef. They also have a nice relaxing cold and/or hot breakfast buffet. Small but nice and fresh. Not usually busy. Fresh OJ. The waiter asks what you want in your omelet then brings it to your table prepared as you like it. They brew Starbucks and give you a "free" cup for the road. You don't have to wait It's a hidden gem imho.
