Celebration cake

Has anyone ever ordered a celebration Mickey cake at a table service restaurant AFTER you’ve arrived?

Like as you’ve checked in, added a cake last minute?
My friend booked the Blue Bayou, didn’t add a cake at the time of making the reservation, can’t edit it to now…the cast member on the phone said she can add it at check in but that seems like a stretch…

If it’s the same “Celebration Cake” they use at WDW and DCL, it’s a premade cake that sits around in the refrigerator, so adding it the day of won’t be a problem.
