We went in late June and we were very disappointed. It was pretty empty but we had to wait a very long time for our food. The food was okay, not great but not horrible. I love coleslaw and it was barely edible. We were supposed to have corn on the cob but it was never served. We asked about it and our waiter said it would be out but it never came The beans were pretty good and the ribs were tasty. The entertainment was annoying at best.
And it took over 20 mins to pay the bill. It was our last day and we had 3 families so everyone gave me cash and one person gave a disney gift card. The waiter came back a few mins later since we were short $2.xx I handed my debit card to pay for the rest of the balance and tip and the waiter went in to the back. Everyone else went on ahead and I was going to meet up with them but I ended up waiting 20+ mins and had to ask for the waiter to come back with my card and receipt to sign 3 times. Needless to say they didn't get a very good tip.
Here's a link to my DIS blog, Culinary Quest. We visited the bbq in July and I wrote about our lunch experience (pics included). We enjoyed it, but, for whatever reason, it is one of those places that elicits many and varied reactions.

Cool~ I just checked out your blog. I didn't realize there was entertainment, I just saw the menu on allears. We're going to have Premier passes, and we're DVC members- what's the discount? 10%?
Do you think it's necessary to make an ADR?
3monkeys4me I sure hope you didn't include a tip because gratuity is included in the bill (I specifically asked to make we didn't have to leave a tip)
Also they need to have a kids menu option. My 4 year old is not going to eat bbq plus he's autistic so he will freak out in his hands are dirty with bbq sauce. We ended up getting him chicken nuggets from the pinochio restuarant close by and brought it in. Luckily they mind and didn't charge us for him...just his drink.

The Premier pass entitles you to the ame discounts as the premium pass, 15% in the restaurants (pretty much all of them outside of Downtown Disney) and 20% off of merchandise until sometime in September, then it drops back to 10%.Cool~ I just checked out your blog.
