Celebrating with Mickey and Co - Day 12

Monday February 16th 2009

Today was Presidents Day and the morning started off nice and sunny So we headed off to DHS. Once there the crowds were starting to build and it was only 9.30am!

We took this opportunity to go and get a fastpass for ToT and then went to RnR but the wait time was so long! So we skipped that and went to watch Beauty and the Beast. After this the time for our ToT fastpasses was active. As we walked up to the entrance for ToT there was TJ, the best CM at ToT for getting into character

After this as it was getting busy we decided to head over to Epcot for lunch.

Once there we made our way to Norway as they do the best sandwiches. As usual I had the salmon and Nathan had the roast beef. I then had the Cloudberry Horn and Nathan had the chocolate cake.

Feeling much refreshes we walked around World Showcase and it was so much busier than the previous week!

The weather was beautiful today and the view across World Showcase lagoon was picture perfect.

Once we got to France a huge crowd had formed to watch the waiter’s performance.

Then we were nearly back to where we had started.

We then decided to walk back to the BWI via IG and the YC.

It was such a lovely day walking alongside the water on the beach.

The YC as usual looked very nice and SAB was being enjoyed by the guests in this warm weather.

The walkway to the YC was very pretty as ever.

At the marina we could see the Breathless in the water probably being checked over for the evening Illuminations cruise. It is good to see they have her back

We then decided to take the boat back to the BWI.

By now it was mid afternoon so we took a dip in the quiet pool, which was also busier than last week.

The sunset this evening was lovely in the cloudless sky

Tonight we had decided to go to Jellyrolls but before that we needed dinner and went to TGI Fridays. As usual we started with the combo to share.

I then had the steak and cheddar cheese mash.

While Nathan had the ribs and fries.

We nipped into Goodings to get some donuts and then went back to the BWI.

We headed off to Jellrolls just before 9pm so that we could sit and watch Illuminations on the Boardwalk. It was quite chilly but a few other people sat and watched as well. Just after 9.15pm we entered Jellyrolls and it was quite empty but as the evening went on it got busier. The acts were good but some were better than others. We had a few drinks and left just before midnight as tomorrow we wanted to head back to Universal for Islands of Adventure.

Another lovely day Claire with some very pretty photos, nice to enjoy hot weather in February. I especially liked seeing the resort photos as we have never been. I love the thought of having a balcony and a view of the lake, plus a glass of wine and good conversation.

It was also especially nice to be able to put a face to your name.

Lovely pictures Claire. We were saying on this trip that we might like to stay in the Boardwalk area next time.

You certainly do seem to get a lot done with your days. Must be the lack of younger ones. They always seem to tire quicker than us.

Nathan's ribs from TGI's look amazing - you're steak looks pretty good too

Every eport of yours I read I am always so amazed at how nice the weather was - and it makes all of your pictures look so nice (although I'm sure your geat photography skills are the main reason for that!)

I tried the school bread in 2007 and wasn't too keen on it so thought I'd try something different this time!
