pancake.jpg

Aww, so cute!! Love them, Todd will do that too when we make pancakes!!:cutie:

House offer update. They countered....again and we are not happy with it so we are going to walk away. I figure there will be more houses and we are in no hurry.

And what you really care about....DAY 4 COMING SOON!!:cool1:

Bummer about the house, but you're right, if it was meant to be, it will be...there are others, after all, it's a buyers market!! good luck!:thumbsup2

I cant wait to see the photos we come up with Brian is very inventive....

Brian looks like SO much fun!!!!!

Hey Amanda!!

Sorry I've been gone for so long...it's been a crazy past 3 weeks. You've updated about so much!! Hopefully I can remember everything I wanted to comment on...

First of all, that cake is ADORABLE!! How much food coloring did you have to use to make the cake those colors? Before long, I bet you'll have your own cake making side-business. :thumbsup2 How do you get the cake to not stick to the pan when you try to flip it? Mine are always disasters.

Your scrapbook stuff is SOOO cute! You're going to have an amazing time making it. I still don't even have all of our pictures printed... Oh--and the bags on the wall are great too! It's awesome that Brian is getting so into it.

ANIMAL KINGDOM: You should definitely think about eating at Pizzafari. We LOVED this place! We split a pepperoni pizza meal and a hot Italian sandwich meal. They were both fantastic. It's also a HUGE restaurant, so you can pretty much always find a cool place to sit. Flame Tree BBQ is good, but it was really hot the last time I ate there, and the BBQ and heat didn't mix to well for me. Also, try hard to see Nemo. It is now our favorite show in all of WDW! :goodvibes We loved everything about it.

ADVICE: Michael and I steered clear of EMHs. We used TourGuideMike and he always says to avoid them. Too many guests flock to that park. On our last day, EMH was going on at DHS while we were there (but we wanted to go there since it's our favorite) and we could tell it was lots busier. Another thing is that we like to go to bed pretty early--so PM EMHs were out of the question. We also wanted to be able to sleep in a little since we were on vacation, so AM EMHs were also not ideal. But then again, some people love it...it's up to yall.

We really liked having park hoppers for the night-time entertainment. We'd pick a low crowd level park to go to, and then we'd head over to a different park for the night-time stuff. Example: on our first full day, we went to Epcot, took an afternoon break, went back to Epcot for dinner and a few more attractions, then took the Monorail over to the MK for Spectro and Wishes. It worked really well for us.

EPCOT: Sunshine Seasons is GREAT for lunch. We picked the Asian counter (they have TONS of options and all kinds of food. It's more like a food court in a mall) and split a meal with rice, noodles, and chicken. It was amazing. And it was the perfect size to split. You're definitely right in picking Soarin first! It fills up super fast. Here's a tip: Go to the turnstiles on the right if you make it before rope drop. Most people fill up the ones on the left and forget about the right side. Then, make your way to the right side rope (at rope drop) so you're closer to Soarin. :thumbsup2 But if you're not there for rope drop, just head to Soarin first. You should definitely go on Spaceship Earth even if it's just for your "future" at the end. And play the energy shuffleboard game thing at the end. It's lots of fun. We love all of the hands-on stuff in Innoventions.

Oh--and CONGRATULATIONS on bidding on a house!!!! :dance3: I know how much you wanted to find the perfect one. I hope it works out for you!

Your plans look GREAT so far! Let me know if you have other qs :)

DAY 4 HAS ARRIVED

Sep 20 -Magic Kingdom 9am-9pm ANNIVERSARY DAY

This is our 2nd Mk day.

Today’s goal: Accomplish what we didn’t have time for on our ½ day arrival.

Will be arriving at rope drop- Where do we go first? (We don’t plan to ride Splash)

Breakfast- Not sure

Lunch- Tonys

After lunch I want to take a scheduled break to go back to Pop and nap since we will be up late the night before and are going to go to rope drop.

Dinner-Since this is our anniversary we wanted to go somewhere fancy and get all dressed up so we chose……Hoop de doo Musical Revue.:rotfl2: We really are going to Hoop de doo. Doing something extravagant wouldn’t be our style. I think Hoop de doo will be perfect for us. Ive read reviews and it sounds like lots of fun :)

Love the wedding pictures! You were a beautiful bride! :bride:

You got me! I was waiting to see what restaurant ya'll were getting all dressed up for!
I think you made a great choice! I wanted to do Hoop De Do, but didn't get it in the plans this time. Can't wait to see what you thought about it.

Beautiful pictures!

Hoop Dee Doo is so much fun! Maybe one of you will get picked to go up on stage. Ahhh, memories.

Love your wedding pics!!! So pretty!!!:bride:

We're doing the HDDR too on our trip, bummer it's not the same day!! We're doing it on the 22nd!:guilty: Oh well...fun, for your annviversary! We're doing Chef Mickey's with our 3 kids for ours, how romantic!! :rotfl:

aww, your wedding pictures are beautiful! :bride:
I like to go to Big Thunder Mountain first at rope drop, you can ride it multiple times in a row, if that's what you like. Or Space Mountain is a good thing to do first since it's harder to get fastpasses for. Then after that, Fantasyland is good to go to because you can do most of the rides with little or no wait. :thumbsup2

Your wedding pictures are great - looks like a fairy tale :lovestruc

Space Mtn is a good one to hit at rope drop, you will encounter the shortest line all day going at rope drop.

You could always FP Splash Mtn, then ride stand by on Big Thunder RR Mtn beside it. Doing those 2 first along with your FP you will have the 3 mtns conquered. Then after you are finished touring & have your lunch, you could use your FP for Splash Mtn. That way if you get wet, you'll then be leaving the park for your afternoon break anyway.

I'm guessing you aren't doing Splash not wanting to be wet? Because it really is a Disney classic so don't let the flume at the end scare you off. And after you ride it's easy to catch the train there to ride back to the entrance to save a few walking steps on your way out.

We LOVE the Hoop De Doo - be sure to tell them its your anniversary :thumbsup2

Oh, and make sure you're on time, leave plenty of time to travel there. If using Disney transporation, we prefer taking the boat over from MK vs. a bus over to Ft. Wilderness because from the outpost you have to take an internal bus inside the camp ground to get to pioneer hall. It was confusing for us after the late show we once attended, especially after the bottomless beers or wine they served :lmao:

Wonderful wedding photos!! What a fun anniversary you have planned!

I agree with the PP, make sure you leave a lot of time to get to Ft Wilderness. It can be very confusing and even if it's not confusing the boat/bus (whichever method you take) can make a few stops.

When it's just DH and I we always head to Space Mt first. A few times we've gotten on the train and gone to BTMRR. But then you don't get the walk up Main St. With DS it's always Dumbo, Dumbo, Dumbo or Pooh! :rotfl:

Your wedding pictures are so great! I love that style of photography.

Now, I may be remembering wrong, but MK is only a half day your first day b/c of your arrival, right? If so, this would be a good day to go ahead and get fastpasses early for things that run out of those early, like Peter Pan's Flight. If you aren't able to get them for a good time your first day or they're already out, it would be good to get these early on this morning.

B/c you're my fellow sweets lover , another tasty treat around breakfast would be a cinnamon roll at Main Street Bakery. These are gigantic but so so good! Here's a picture of mine from May

Disney480.jpg

And I see you read my Tony's review in my TR. :sad2: The location of the restaurant is great! But I would have to tell you to stear clear of the chicken parm. I do remember the flatbread I had back in 2008 was great, they just aren't on the dinner menu and that's when we went. My DH actually said the only way we'd go back would be if we had a lunch ADR next time. But hey, you may have a completely different experience than us. I really hope you do actually! There are lots of people who like the restaurant so maybe you'll agree with them. :goodvibes

I think HDDR sounds really fun too. We've never done it but I hope ya'll have a great time!

Your plans look GREAT so far! Let me know if you have other qs :)

You actually cant use food coloring to get a good color. If you use food coloring it will turn out very pale. You need to use a gel paste food coloring (which you can find at almost any store :thumbsup2) May I recomend Walamrt :lmao: You just keep adding this gel until you get the color you want. I really like doing cakes like this because everyone is surprised when you serve it. :goodvibes

I actually use Wiltons Cake Release to keep it from sticking. It literally falls right out of the pan…this stuff is AMAZING!!! I don’t know if I would ever be good enough to make a business out of it, but I will have a blast making them for friends and family and for our kids someday!

Thanks! I love all of the scrapbook stuff I bought. I just hope the excitement lasts when vacation is over. I have yet to put together our wedding photos, so we can send away for a wedding photobook thing. :rolleyes1 I think since we bought the photopass cd and I have already invested as much money as I have I will commit to getting it done. If not all you guys will keep me on my toes to get it done lol

I love pizza. No, I LOVE pizza. It is Brian and I’s favorite food! My perfect Friday night consists of us making a pizza and watching a movie. (Ranch dressing instead of marinara. Topped with ham, pineapple, onion, and banana peppers..yuummm!!) Actually Brian makes the pizza and refers to me as his sous chef. Lol I’m not much of a cook, but I am an amazing cleaner and well I know how to cut stuff up so I’m pretty much the ideal sous chef. I think he just calls me this so I feel important and he gets out of prep work lol.

Sorry I can go on and on about my love for Pizza. I will keep Pizzafari in mind for sure! I remember seeing your pics for Nemo. I love all musicals and plays, I'm sure I wont be dissapointed.

We have gone back and forth about EMHs. First we had none and then I had tried to schedule every single one in. I know if Brian had his way we wouldn’t start our day until 10 every morning so I’m trying to let him sleep as much as he can. After all of my switching around I think I now have one evening EMH planned. I think getting up and about at regular opening hours will be enough work, so early EMHs lost there appeal. Although I have read some amazing reviews of people that have done it, I just think sleep ranks higher haha. And because all of those dang pics we plan on taking its not like I can just roll out of bed haha. Because of this decision we are doing as you said and avoiding the park that offers EMHs for that day.

Thanks for yoru Soarin info. I think of all the rides I’m most excited about it.

They wouldn’t come down far enough for us, so we are going to wait it out til the next house comes.

Thanks for all your help Staci...you are awesome!

Love the wedding pictures! You were a beautiful bride! :bride:

I think you made a great choice! I wanted to do Hoop De Do, but didn't get it in the plans this time. Can't wait to see what you thought about it.

Aww thanks so much. It was a wonderful day :lovestruc

Haha. I think Hoop de doo will be lots of fun. I originally didnt like the idea of it because one of our last vacas was to Tenessee and we watched a few shows down there and it seemed like it may be similiar. After reading all the great reviews I decided to just go for it. I will remember you and try to take lots of pics :thumbsup2

Beautiful pictures!

Hoop Dee Doo is so much fun! Maybe one of you will get picked to go up on stage. Ahhh, memories.

Thank you so much..its crazy to think its been two years :)

Is this memory in a trip report somewhere lol. I would laugh if we did. As Brian was on the phone making the reservation I heard him say "It's our two year anniversary" After he got off the phone I told him "Oh no what if they pick on us?

They do make quite a few trips around the tables so if the restaurant knows its your anniversary, chances are the actors will know too and make a beeline for you! They call 4 people up on stage. I was a can can girl, dress and all, and I had to actually can can! I was afraid I was going to kick my flip flop off at someone. :lmao: It was a lot of fun though and I got a photo from HDD and a certificate. I loved it there!

Love your wedding pics!!! So pretty!!!:bride:

Thanks so much! Shame on you for not scheduling your plans around mine lol. On a totally random note I had a dream last night that I had a Pandora bracelet. In the dream I bought it at a garage sale for 1 dollar :lmao: I woke up and told Brian "I really need to get me one of those bracelets" haha

Chef Mickey’s would be so fun! At the beginning of my planning I wasn’t as into Characters, so I thought a character meal may be awkward. Now after months of planning and looking at everyone’s pictures I think it would be a great time even if we don’t have kids :) I think it may be a must do for our next trip!

aww, your wedding pictures are beautiful! :bride:

We have decided to start the day with Space Mtn. I think you convinced me to give Splash a try. We will ride it right before our break and will wear our ponchos. I would hate to miss something that everyone seems to recommend. We will do the plan you mentioned.

I’m not so sure I want them to know it’s our anniversary. Thanks for your travel advice. That is one area I am 100% clueless on. I will make sure we leave plenty early.

A funny story about all beer and whine you can drink. Our reservation request went like this:

Brian: Ok and what times do you have available for September 20th?

Operator person: We have 5:00pm, 7:15pm cat 2 or 3, 9:30pm cat 1

Brian: Do you have a recommendation of what time we should take?

Operator: Well a later time may work nice for you. Keep in mind the show offers all you can drink Beer/ Whine.

Brian: Are you telling me to take the later time so we can get drunk? (He was laughing while he said this)

Operator: Oh no sir not at all. (Clearly embarrassed)

At this point Brian can’t stop laughing and is trying to explain to her that she didn’t offend him that he was just joking with her.

It was super funny. Although we are not big drinkers…at all. I think I would enjoy a glass of whine with dinner. Unless it’s red whine….YUCK. And beer…YUCK. I tasted it once on our honeymoon and swore I never would again. lol

Wonderful wedding photos!! What a fun anniversary you have planned!

I am so excited I think it will be a wonderful way to celebrate two years.

I think we will have to make it a point to try to leave lots of extra time any time we go anywhere. Sounds liek we could get lost pretty easily lol.

Ya I think Space will be our first stop. But I may end up catching myself saying "Dumbo, Dumbo, Dumbo" It's a classic. I have to ride it at least once right

Your wedding pictures are so great! I love that style of photography.

Thank you. Before the wedding I decided that our one splurge would be a photographer, because once the day is over it is the one thing that we have as a memory. I actually like our group pictures better just because they are so fun. The guys have one that sooo looks like a Boy Band cd cover. It’s hilarious. I think by the time we got to just Bride and Groom pics we were burnt out lol But all and all I was really happy with what we got.

Ya I think our main goal for this day is to focus on FP rides that we missed on day 1.

Ok after looking at that picture I don’t know if I should say I love you or hate you lol
How dare you show me something so yummy and than make me wait 2 WEEKS to get to try it haha. Seriously that looks scrumptious. It looks big enough to share but I doubt I do...every man for himself.

Ya, that chicken parm…ewww. It looks like something I would make. We do have a lunch ADR so hopefully that helps. I actually looked at the menu to see if anything sounded appealing and I think I may get the chicken calzone. Wish us luck!

Also I just noticed you have a trip planned for December. :dance3: Is this new? Either way I will be over check out your PTR!

Thank you. :)

You so need to get a Pandora!! GREAT Anniversary idea for Brian!!!;) You can start it on your trip!!!!

Chef Mickey's will be so much fun, just not as romantic as our 1st trip to Disney World together in 2000! But I wouldn't trade it for the world...most days!;)

Your wedding pics are just gorgeous!!! :goodvibes

I can't wait to hear about Hoop De Doo.....we haven't been there yet! From what I've heard, it's a blast! :thumbsup2

So glad to hear that you're doing rope drop...You'll get so much more done in the MK! I would suggest hitting Space Mountain or Fantasyland 1st! Fantasyland often gets unbearably crowded in the afternoon and SM will have really long lines.....just a heads up ~ Peter Pan's Flight is pretty popular, so you may want to head there first once you get to Fantasyland!

You've got to be so excited...your trip will be here in no time!!! :woohoo:

We have decided to start the day with Space Mtn. I think you convinced me to give Splash a try. We will ride it right before our break and will wear our ponchos. I would hate to miss something that everyone seems to recommend.

I’m not so sure I want them to know it’s our anniversary. Thanks for your travel advice. That is one area I am 100% clueless on. I will make sure we leave plenty early.

:thumbsup2 Splash Mountain - the adventures of Brie Rabbit is classic - and the idiotic Brie Bear & Brie Gator trying to catch him. It's a LOVELY 10 minute ride of pure Disney magic. I adore this ride! The flume is near the very end & really, it's not so bad. But again, I love coasters so not so bad in my book may be different in yours. But you should experience it once to see what you think. I'm glad you decided to give it a go!

We got wet ONLY when in the very front row. In the very back, you'd never know we were riding. But it does seem to be a hit or miss. To get drenched, you'll have to ride the kali river rapids over at the Animal Kingdom

If you have your heart set on DUMBO (& why not, it's a classic too) either ride it first on your second rope drop day at MK, or if only there one day, consider going first to Space Mtn, get a FP immediately, then if the park doesn't seem crowded, ride it. Otherwise, high tail over to Dumbo & ride it. I'm used to touring in summer when crowds are at their highest but when you're going after Labor Day, you may be pleasantly surprised with the crowds. Hard to say though since free dining attracts crowds too :confused3

Dumbo while enchanting, in its present state, is set up like a "carnival" ride in that only 24 people can ride at a time. So they load in, everyone is checked, ride is started, it stops, everyone exits....slow....slow....slow....THEN finally the next group of riders go. So the earlier in the day, the better. If you wait much past about an hour after opening, you'll find yourself in a long line for about a 2 minute ride

Aww, come on - tell em' it's your anniversary at Hoop De Doo. It's your special day, let them acknowledge you. I don't think you'll be disappointed. I've never laughed so hard at G rated humor.

You can get refills on white or red wine, beer, tea, coffee or pop. Liquor is available for an extra charge.

The transporation board is a good place to ask questions about traveling from place to place in disney, whether using your own car or disney transporation. They WON'T let you in Hoop De Doo if you arrive late so keep that in mind however you travel over there. Our first time I thought it was confusing to find Pioneer Hall. It's closest to the boat dock that travels ultimately to the Magic Kingdom and furthest away from the entrance to the campground, I think it's called the outpost. Don't assume driving or riding a bus once you arrive at the campground you're close, you still have to make it back to pioneer hall!

If you're too early, there's a great porch around the corner with rocking chairs that are quite relaxing to sit on "fer a spell" :rotfl:

!!!!!!10 DAYS!!!!!!

Day 5 plans

Sep 21- Hollywood Studios 9am-7pm

Breakfast- In room or Snack Credit

Lunch- Sci fi ADR

Dinner- QS @ Wolfgang Puck Express and Earl of Sandwich.

We have 3 must rides for the day:

TSM

Rock N Roller Coaster

MAYBE ToT.

I plan to head to TSM first at rope drop. What should we go to next? I say maybe ToT because it matters if I chicken out when I see it lol. I am terrified of scary rides. I love them once I’m on them and often ride again but getting me on the ride is quite a challenge. TOT is the only ride that I am classifying as scary at WDW. Although I’m not a fan of roller coasters all of them seem tame enough for me. So anyways after TSM we may head over to ToT. And then likely RNRC.

We would also like to try to fit in some shows as well. They all actually sound great, so I think it will be a matter of timing as to which ones we actually get to see.

Fantasmic isn’t showing this day so we are going to try to fit it in later in the week.

Evening Plans

After our day of visiting DHS, we may go back to our room for a nap and then head over to DTD for the rest of the night. Staying up late this night wont be a problem because we plan on sleeping in the following day.
