Celebrating our 10 Year Anniversary In WDW!

We both requested off during that week, knowing we would go somewhere to celebrate 10 years together (and my birthday). So, for the past two months I've been looking into all kinds of travel options from cruises to trips abroad. Last week he got an offer from the Showboat Casino in Atlantic City for two free nights, and free dinner. I couldn't beat that budget wise, or come up with something better for us to do so we booked it.

Fortunately, I was having second thoughts. The one place that was always in the back of my mind was Disney World (even though I didn't want to admit it). I had already priced it out a few times, but since we just went in October I didn't think he would want to go again. I finally decided to run the idea by him and he got soooo excited . It made me wonder why I had any doubts.

Last night I submitted the vacation package on travelocity. I set up the DME via the link they gave me (hopefully we get the luggage tags before we leave) He called and made our ADR's. We couldn't get Coral Reef for the 24th because they are booked, so we are going to Bistro de Paris instead. We also made ressies for Liberty Tree Tavern, and Breakfastosaurus. Even though planning a last minute trip makes me a little nervous, I can't think of anyplace I'd rather be. I am so getting one of those birthday buttons too!

First of all, congrats on 10 years together!

Second, congrats on choosing Disney over Atlantic City. The right choice, I think most of us would agree.

Third, congratulations on missing out on Coral Reef and getting Bistro instead. Bistro is one of the best restaurants at Disney...I would put it right up there with Donald's Breakfastosaurus.

I agree. Bistro over Coral Reef any day. I wasn't too thrilled with the Breakfastosaurus, but many folks do enjoy that meal there. Hope it's great for you.

Who'd want to go to Atlantic City when you could go to WDW instead?

Yes get the birthday buttons. I did at all 4 parks and DTD
they all look diff. all cast members will wish you a Happy BD and some will sing it to you.
I had the best trip of my life last year and i hope you will to.

Guest Services at each park and at Downtown Disney have b-day buttons (each park's button is different!).

Also, if you happen to go to Disney Quest, be sure to mention it's your birthday at the Guest Services desk where you can buy your Magic Mirror or Sid's Create-A-Toy creations...they willl give you bday goodies also!

ALSO, if you mention it to Guest Services at your resort (or even to the desk agent when you check in), you will most likely find a card signed by all the characters in your resort room AND, of you're lucky, a birthday greeting from either Goofy or Stitch recorded on your resort voice mail.

Your from Jersey - you can go to Atlantic City ANYTIME! Glad your going to WDW - have a great time! Oh and Happy Anniversary / Birthday!

Since we're always going to WDW we opted for a trip to Vegas and then a cruise for our 10th back in 05. Those too were great vacations. Both totally different than WDW. You will have a blast! One restaurant we never tried is Bistro de Paris. So Please let us know what you thought whan you return!
