We are traveling with 5 children to Disney World for our Spring Break week next year. Just realized yesterday that the day we are planning on traveling home happens to be Easter Sunday! We considered leaving on Saturday but have decided to stay with our plan to leave Sunday around noon and just celebrate w/ baskets and an egg hunt at the house before we leave but trying to figure out a really fun Disney themed things to do with our celebration. Would really appreciate any tips or ideas. We have 4 girls ages 18 months, 7,8,10 and a 6 year old boy.

How fun!

EPCOT sets up a fun Easter egg hunt scavenger hunt around the World Showcase - I participated in it this year and it was a really fun, new way to explore the countries. You can purchase a 'map' for I believe $5 at the merchandise locations at the front of WS. As you walk around the countries, you'll search for a large egg that is decorated like a Disney character (Fab 5, White Rabbit, Chip and Dale, etc.). Once you spot the egg (they're large and permanent, you can't take them with you but I wish you could haha), you'll place a matching sticker on your map. After you've found the egg in each country and used all of your stickers (they come with your map), you can return to one of the merch locations and receive a small prize! For the $5 that it cost, it was tons of fun! The 'prize' is cute and you get to keep the map as well which I thought were two really great souvenirs for the price.

Mr. and Mrs. Easter Bunny meet at the Magic Kingdom for the days leading up to Easter.

I also know that this year the Contemporary offered different Easter services on Easter Sunday if that might be something that your family is interested in.

I'm sure there are a few other things offered around property but that's what I can remember off of the top of my head!

I think it would be fun, and not too hard to do at WDW on Easter. Instead of filling their regular baskets, have the bunny fill Disney themed paper gift bags and have them there for the kids when they wake up Easter AM. Fill with things for the trip home. New travel toys and books and good travel snacks. Get an ADR for a breakfast/brunch before you leave. Memories of Easter at WDW made!

Thanks for the tips and ideas so far. The activities at Epcot sound very interesting and fun but unfortunately we will not be doing park time on this day as we are heading home. My kids and I will have annual passes but my friend, her hubby and daughter will only be getting 4 day tickets so would rather use park days when we can get a decent amount of park time in.
Thing1 we were talking about doing the Disney themed "Easter baskets" with goodies for the road trip but hadn't thought about the brunch before leaving. That would be a very fun and memorable close to trip. We will also be celebrating 3 bdays during the trip. 1 bday is actually during a the week we are there and the other 2 are a week and a half after. lol
