Celebrating birthday at DLR, but where to host the party?

Woo hoo! DH and I decided to spring for Premium APs in March, and kick it off by celebrating his and my son's birthdays for the weekend. However, we still want to host a birthday party in that area for our friends and family to join us. I've looked into a few local bowling alleys, but I also thought I would check with the experts on what our other options are! We estimate about 25-40 people. Nothing crazy expensive. Ice skating! Fun for kids, especially as they watch their parents fall repeatedly. Good times, good times...

This party is sort of unique in that it's not truly a kid's birthday party. It's more of a chance to get together with all of our friends and family, some of whom have small children.

It's 5 miles from DLR, has a train everyone can ride in, and is perfect for all ages, not just for kids of a certain age.

But I am going to keep looking, and hoping to get more suggestions from locals in particular.

What about ESPN Zone at DTD?

It says you can book in advance and since you'll be getting APs, you can use the discount there!

I've never actually been into the ESPN Zone, as my DH and I do not follow professional sports. However, I like that it would be keeping with the Disney theme of our weekend, its proximity to our hotel, and it would please a lot of our guests. I'll have to look into it further. We love ESPN zone. Then have a large menu sure to please everyone and are reasonably priced.

As an update, as I started discussing options (and prices) with DH, he decided he doesn't want a big shindig. I think we'll just reserve some space at a favorite restaurant instead. Thanks, everyone!
