Celebrating Anniversary's at WDW

My parent's will be celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary during a trip next month with my kids, dh and I and my brother and his family.

Any ideas onhowwe can celebrate?

I guess it depends on what you are looking to spend, your children's ages, and your parents tastes. There are so many options. Have you tried a specialty cruise, or you can get a specialty cake delivered to a favorite restaraunt. My gradparents danced away as they were announced for their 50th at the Hoopdy Doo.

Oh and I forgot to mention a kudos to the Disney Florist. They have a ton of options for special treats, floral, romantic, or themed to be sent to the room. I recently used them for gift baskets for my children and was able to customize an order.

Dont forget to get them Happy anniversary buttons!! DH and I also wore anniversary tshirts and got TONS of attention, compliments, congrads etc - it was sooo fun!!! I also think at the front desk you can mention that you would like a call from a character wishing them happy anniversary - they may also deliver a few balloons and a card from the character - just make sure that you call and remind them 48 hours before the day of the event (on our trip last week, they forgot my DH's bday - oh well)

We just got back from our 10th anniversary trip.
We got balloons, never asked for them or anything.
It was noted on our reservation that it was our anniversary because of our dinner reservation.
We had personalized menus at Yachtsman's Steakhouse.
MK gave us free Mickey bars.
Everyone just treated us so well!

We were there for our 10th anniversary as well and we had dinner in the castle with the whole family. It was as romantic as it can get with our two kids, my sister-in-law and her 2 kids, my mom, and both of my wife's parents. Seriously, though - it was great. I bought my wife an engraved WDW frame and gave it to them before the dinner - they brought it out after the meal and even included a couple of champaigne glasses. Very cool...
