Celebrating a Birthday Question...

Is it bad form to put on your reservation that you are celebrating a birthday at Disney if the birthday doesn't fall within your trip? DH is turning 40 in June, but our trip isn't until the end of August due to work and when we could take vacation time. DH is wanting a birthday pin since both he and Disney turn 40 this year, LOL.

It's not a problem at all if your actual birthday dosen't fall within your trip. You will receive a birthday pin and can wear it all during your trip...you'll get lots of "happy birthdays" from everyone! Also, you can add the birthday celebration to your dining reservations if you'd like to...lots of restaurants will sing happy birthday and some bring a little free dessert, too. :goodvibes We went two years ago during my sisters real birthday and it was so fun. Last year we went a week after her real birthday, but we still celebrated all week. This year we're going in May but will be celebrating my Mom's February birthday. Some CMs knew that it wasn't my sister's official bday last year and they didn't mind. We added my mom's birthday to the ressie with her real birthday date so we're not lying or anything...I'm sure they won't care. Disney is all about celebrating special events!

Thanks for the reply. DH isn't thrilled about turning 40, but said he is in good company with WDW celebrating 40 too, so what better place to be.

Ohh..I'm so glad I saw this question because we are going the last week of October and DD's bday is the week of Thanksgiving, but the trip is an 8th bday surprise. I was hoping we could celebrate it 3-4 weeks early. I didn't want to go down to the World during Thanksgiving!

My daughter is turning 16 in July and we are there in June. I am so glad you asked!!

Glad you asked this! We are going October and will be there on my oldest dd's 7th birthday. But my youngest dd will be 6 two months later in Dec. I didn't want to leave her out. So, we are celebrating the on one dd's actual birthday and we designated another day for other dd to celebrate hers. And we have designated another day to celebrate our 10 year anniversary that is actually 2 weeks before our trip. I don't feel so bad knowing that other people do it too :cutie:

Nope, not wrong! We're going in Sept. and will be celebrating 4 fall birthdays, plus my parents 40th anniversary, none of which fall within the dates of our trip.

Have lots of fun!
