Celebrating a Birthday at MK

My son will be celebrating his 9th b-day on 5/9. My plan for the day is to go to the MK...try to get him into the parade, then head over to Hollywood Studios later for our ADR @ Hollywood & Vine for the Fantasmic Dinner Package. I was thinking about making an ADR at Kona for breakfast before heading to MK. Has anyone ever celebrated a birthday here? I would have done Ohana's for the character breakfast but we're doing CP earlier in the week for our other son. What do you think of Kona for this day?
