Celebrating 9 days with my 4 kids(7,6,4,2)May 2009, I know I'm late starting this TR

It was for the year of a million dreams. I think we were the 1st family to check in for dinner that day. So I assume thats how we got it. We got to sign the book, have a group picture with all the characters and also got an extra something with our meal. I think it was a new dish they were trying out. I can't remember all the details anymore....is that a sign that I'm getting old?

I wish they would do year of a million dreams again. That was my favorite trip that we took. We won FP's for the day at MK, and some ice cream guy gave us all free Mickey ice creams.

I don't have video but I just posted some pictures on my TR for you to see.

I am also updating later today or early tomorrow at the latest.

Thanks for posting those pictures. I loved to see them. Cirque school looks like a lot of fun, but I would be way to chicken to do any of that stuff. Thanks for letting me know you posted them because once again, I didn't get an email reminder. :confused3

Loving your TR! My hubby and I are surprising the kiddos on Mothers Day with a trip. We will be there May 9-14 so its exciting to see how the crowds were when you went. Cant wait to see how the rest of your trip goes.

Are you going to tell the kids? or are you going to wait until you get down there? I love surprises!!I do enjoy going in May.

There is a thread on the DIS called IS THIS YOU? and I am subbed to it.

Oh, what a fun thread! Can you post or send me the link for it?

Woo Hoo!!! :dance3: That is such awesome news! I'm a little late with the congrats, but I'm all caught up now and wanted to tell you how happy I am for you!

just got caught up again... you make me want to try Garden Grill next time for sure!

this time change is a killer on me with the boys! and I hate having to send the kids to the bus stop in the dark :(

sorry to see your tr coming to end, I've really enjoyed it... Hope you are still feeling good!

I am so not liking this time change. I hated getting the kids up this morning, plus it was impossible to get them to bed last night. Hopefully they will be so exhausted tonight that they will go right to bed.

So, Today was our 3rd and final day at Magic Kingdom. Since we had already been twice and since I had already taken so many pictures, I decided that I was not going to be taking many pictures today. I was going to enjoy every ride without having to watch it through a camera. I had taken a lot of video footage on our previous days because my kids like to watch the videos of the rides. I am just letting you know that I will probably fit all of today into one update.

The only set in stone plan that we had this day was Chef Mickey's at 11:15. My kids, being the early risers that they are, were ready to go to Magic Kingdom at 7:00. We didn't leave that early, but we did get there for rope drop again! Since we were there at rope drop, and since the Tour Guide Mike plan of attack worked so well for us the last time, we decided that we would follow that plan again this morning so we would get a lot done before our brunch reservation at Chef Mickey's. Once again there were a few crazy people jumping the ropes to get to Dumbo, but not too many. We waited and waited and waited. I looked at my clock and it said 9:15. Somebody must have been late this morning because they still hadn't dropped the ropes to Fantasyland. Just so you know, there are multiple areas you can wait for rope drop because of the different paths to get to all the lands. I was relieved to know that they don't drop any of the ropes until they are all ready. So somewhere at some rope they were waiting on a CM to come to rope drop still. At least they waited this morning to do it all at once, I may be just assuming that they do that every morning. As I am sitting there wondering if the rope jumpers have already had their spin on Dumbo, the rope drops and we were on our way. We did pretty much the same thing we did the previous Magic Kingdom day. Dumbo, Pooh bear, Peter Pan, Snow White, Cinderella's Carousel, Small World, Goofy's barnstormer, and this time we went to the Mad tea party. We still hadn't done that yet this trip.

I am going to back track just a minute because I did take some pictures at the carousel. I know you have already seen so many, but there is a reason I have to post these. You see, we were in the very front of the line so I knew we would have our pick of the horses. For those of you who didn't know, one of the horses is Cinderella's very own horse. It is a white one with a golden ribbon on its tail. I saw it go by and waited to go in, and then we made it to that horse. I put my very own Princess on Cinderella's horse. I felt kind of bad, because there might have been an older child who might have appreciated it a little more, but then I talked myself past the guilt. I mean, what are the chances that other kids on this ride knew about Cinderella's horse? A lot of people don't know about it. The only reason I did is because I have read a lot on the DIS. I immediately felt better, and took a few pictures.

Here is the Princess on Cinderella's horse. Notice the gold ribbon on the tail.

and here is a close up in case you couldn't see it very well.
campingandDisney2009945.jpg

I guess I was the one who took the boys on Goofy's Barnstormer this time because there are actually pictures of the kids on the ride.

Goofy(DS7) and Lego(DS6) got to sit in the very front of the plane. They were so excited about this.
270.jpg

and this little Donald(DS4) sat with me.
271.jpg

The kids on the way up the hill. Oh the suspense.
273.jpg

While we were thus enjoying the thriller roller coaster that Goofy set up, my DH was doing what he does best. Getting a snack. This time they had popcorn, at like 10:00 in the morning.

Yummy!
275.jpg

After we got off the ride, the kids had to all do their "not fair" thing about Princess(DD2) getting popcorn. She happily shared it with them and we were on our way to the teacups. Now, it is impossible to get DH to enjoy this ride with the kids. He absolutely refuses, so to appease the kids I take my vomit bag in hand and get in line with them. Actually, just thinking about this ride is making me feel really queasy right now. I know right now that I would not even attempt this ride with morning sickness. Let me just get on to the pics so I can get past this portion of my TR.

Luckily my kids aren't super strong, so they can't get this thing spinning like I have seen other people spin it. But, they do spin it fast enough that it is uncomfortable for me. I am just sure my sweet DH was chuckling away when he took these pictures.

campingandDisney2009947.jpg

This was before the storm of nausea. I just love Donald's(DS4) face in this one. Princess(DD2) has no idea what is about to happen
campingandDisney2009951.jpg

Goofy(DS7) preparing for the spin.
campingandDisney2009955.jpg

Sickness setting in. I had to keep my eyes closed. I am sure Goofy(DS7) was enjoying this very much. Oh the things we will do for our children. Princess(DD2) looks like she felt like I did, and Lego(DS6) could care less.
campingandDisney2009960.jpg

I feel right now like I did when I got off of that ride.
It was now getting close to 10:30 so we decided we would go and get some FP's for BTMR and Splash and then head over to Chef Mickey's. We got on the monorail and made it to Chef Mickey's shortly after 11:00.

campingandDisney2009962.jpg

We were seated and my kids were super excited because we were having breakfast food. My kids could live on bacon. It is by far their favorite food. Who doesn't love bacon? Everything is better with bacon. Here are our plates of food.

Here was Goofy's(DS7) first plate.
campingandDisney2009969.jpg

and this was Goofy's second plate
campingandDisney2009990.jpg

Here was Lego's(DS6) first plate. At least he started off with a nice variety.

and this was my plate. I can't remember what every thing was, but I do know that I LOVED that breakfast pizza at the bottom center of the plate.
campingandDisney2009971.jpg

Lego(DS6) was celebrating his birthday again on this day, so they started singing some Party song. Everyone spins their napkins in the air, and Mickey and Minnie come over and give birthday boy a hug.

campingandDisney2009978.jpg

He loved this attention. Mickey came over as well to say Hi.

and I guess I didn't get a group photo with Donald. Just this one.

I am so not liking this time change. I hated getting the kids up this morning, plus it was impossible to get them to bed last night. Hopefully they will be so exhausted tonight that they will go right to bed.

I am right there with you! Ethan is a VERY early bird and takes no nap so he has an early bed time. With the time change it was impossible to get him to go to sleep at a normal time last night. In fact he got up and ask me to cut his hair (I was cutting DH's) which is like torture to him.:rotfl:

But on the bright side he got up today at 7:30am rather than 6:30am like normal.

After we had stuffed our bellies we decided to go on back to the resort and just relax. Remember, DH had told me I would get the next nap. When we went to get on the monorail, I asked if we could sit in the front. Guess what!! We did get to sit in the front. The only thing is that only 4 are allowed up front so DH took Princess(DD2) and the stroller(we only took one this morning) into the back of the monorail while I took the boys up front. It was pretty fun riding up front. You can see everything. The driver was really nice as well.

He took our picture for us.
288.jpg

and then I turned around and took his picture as well. He was a goodlooking lad.
284.jpg

These next few were looking out the front window. The window was so clean you could harldy tell it was there. My boys absolutely loved this! and it was fun seeing where we were going and following the tracks.
286.jpg

287.jpg

I don't remember what time it was when we went back to the room, but I know we didn't go back to the park until 5:00. So, when we got back to the room I reminded DH of his promise that I could nap. He said that was fine, but he still wasn't going to take the boys to the pool until I woke up. GRRR. Anyway, He went out to the car to get something and realized that my car battery was dead. He came back in all upset and asked me to call the front and see if we could get somebody to jump the car off. I called and we waited. We waited and waited and waited. After about an hour I called them back and they said they had other cars with problems they had to get to first. When I asked them how long it would be they said probably another couple of hours. I wish they would have told me that in the first place!! I then asked them if they would just come jump ours first thing in the morning since we weren't going anywhere. They agreed. DH was upset because he was wanting to make sure my car would work, but I didn't want to sit around all day waiting when we could be doing other things. I guess the extensive amount of heat, and not turning our car on in over a week caused the battery to die because there were not any lights left on. Anyway, the kids were begging to go to the pool at this point. So needless to say, nobody but Princess(DD2) took a nap and we all went to the pool. DH continued to worry about the car the whole rest of the day.

We made it back to MK a little after 5:00. I knew how much my family loves hot dogs, so I suggested we go to Casey's Corner for dinner. This guy was out playing the piano when we got there.

campingandDisney20091004.jpg

We danced around a little bit then went in and got our food. The kids all got corn dog bites and french fries.

294.jpg

292.jpg

and my DH got a grand slam hot dog. I just ate a few of my kids corn dogs. I am not crazy about corn dogs, but I knew my kids loved them so it was fine with me. Plus, there was one extra quick service credit we had and I knew that each quick service credit was equal to 3 snack credits. We were going to be at DTD tomorrow so this would give us some snack credits for Goofy's Candy Shop. After our scrumptious dinner, we decided to head to Frontierland. When we walked outside of Casey's we noticed a photopass photographer so we got some pictures.

I don't know what Dondald(DS4) was doing with his shoe right here.
Image667.jpg

Princess and I had on our matching shirts.
Image669.jpg

the move it, shake it, parade was going on in the background.
Image670.jpg

We then raised the roof to the music. I guess Donald(DS4) got tired of holding his shoe and chucked it. Ha Ha:rotfl:
Image673.jpg

Image674.jpg

Now Donald(DS4) is checking to make sure he is not the only one partying.
Image676.jpg

Finally, a nice family shot.
Image679.jpg

I then took the younger two on the train while DH took the older two boys on the mountain rides. We met back up at the playground under Splash and then walked back to tomorrowland to redo it again. After doing everything we wanted to do there, the older boys were wanting a dole whip and a funnel cake. I was all up for that. DH said he didn't feel like walking all the way back over there so he took another spin on Spaceranger spin while I took the older two over to get some snacks. We took this picture along the way.

Image681.jpg

We got two funnel cakes and three dole whips. Goofy(DS7) and I were not wanting to share our dole whips and figured everybody else could share the third. The lines for the snacks must have been longer than the line for spaceranger spin because DH ended up meeting up with us right after we got the snacks. We all sat down and enjoyed. I savored every last bit of that dole whip because I knew it would be the last one I would be getting for a long time. Bye Bye my sweet undying love, hopefully I will be back soon. After our snacks, we left and went back to the room. That is it for Day 8. Sorry it was not so exciting. I have lots of pictures of Day 9 though. We did a lot that last day.

That's funny about him wanting a hair cut!

Yeah, it works out for the good if you don't have to get them ready to be somewhere by a certain time. My DD slept in this morning until almost 8:00, so I was able to work on this TR for about an hour between the kids leaving for school and her getting up for the day. Of course, now I am ready for a nap.

Thanks for info on cinderella's horse, I knew that there was one but didn't know which one :thumbsup2 I'm right with you on the spinning tea cups  I have never rode it yet. Hope your morning sickness ends soon.

Chef mickey is really good never done breakfast yet but we enjoyed our dinner one trip. The next time we went I never enjoyed it as much but think that was as we felt squashed together and very cramped with our neighbouring tables.

We haven't changed times yet that will happen at the end of this month but it gets a lot lighter here which means even earlier rises for the children!

OMG! You can use DDP snack credits at Goofy's Candy Shop? I had no idea....my kids LOVE that place!! I didn't know that one quick service equals 3 snack credits either! Woo Hoo:cool1:...Thanks!

Great update! You didn't get a picture of the funnel cakes????? How could you do me like that??? Lol. I really hate this is almost over my dis friend!!!!1 ;)

I can't believe your report is almost over!! I agree about the bacon. :rotfl: Bella and my nephews all love it, so at family style breakfast at CRT, they are going to have to keep it coming! We are eating at Chef Mickey's too, but for dinner. Looking forward to hearing about DTD!!

Great update! I hope you are recovered from your MS. I was always so happy to get into that second trimester! :worship:

So you still haven't gotten your rest at WDW? I hope your car was fine the next day!

I'm so sad that your TR is coming to an end.

Wow, your kids sure do love bacon!! I have never seen a person eat that much bacon before.

I didn't know that there was a specific horse that was Cinderella's. Next time we go I'll try to get a pic of DD on it. My DH won't do any spinning rides either so when we went to Disney I was going to get on with the kids but when we were choosing our cups they let me know I wasn't welcome in their cup. :lmao: Dorothy and I rode in a different cup and didn't bother spinning it.

Hope the morning sicknes isn't too bad. I used to have evening sickness when I was PG. It was weird every night at supper time I would feel sick to my stomach, and I would think there is no way I can eat anything just the thought, let alone the smell is going to send me over the edge. Then it would pass and I would be really hungry and need to eat right away. Morning was never a problem for me.

Do you find your pregnancys very different from each other, or do you seem to follow the same pattern and have same craveings etc. each time?

I think if I had a picture of me on the Teacups I would look exactly the same as you. I hate those spinning rides. I don't remember if you mentioned riding it or not, but Primeval Whirl is even worse IMO. I get a headache just thinking about it. Ugh!

Sorry about your morning sickness! I had it so much worse with DD than with DS. I don't think I got over it until my third trimester.

Sorry you didn't get your nap. :sad2: I love all the photopass pics you got, and I really love the one of Princess on Cindy's horse! Looking forward to hearing about the next day and if your car is OK.

Glad to know that you learned something from my TR. :thumbsup2
That was our first time at CM and we loved it. Are you doing it on this trip coming up? Good luck with that time change!

When we went you could get the mickey rice krispie treats with unlimited toppings. I have read somewhere on here that they just changed it to a limited amount of toppings. I can't remember how many. I know you can still do the pretzel rods as well. Here is a link that has pictures posted of things you can get with a snack credit. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1850418

I actually was thinking, " I can't believe I didn't get a picture of my funnel cakes". You will have to take one on your trip. In fact, I am expecting lots of food porn from you my dis friend!!:goodvibes

Does CRT have bacon? I have never been so I don't know. If it does, and it is family style, then that is a must do for my next trip whenever that may be. DTD will be coming up soon!

Great update! I hope you are recovered from your MS. I was always so happy to get into that second trimester! :worship:

So you still haven't gotten your rest at WDW? I hope your car was fine the next day!

Thanks. I am definitely looking forward to the second trimester. This is definitely the last one. I really do enjoy being pregnant, but it is hard when you have to get up and take care of the rest of the kids. I will include a car update for you.

I'm so sad that your TR is coming to an end.

:lmao:That is so funny about your kids not wanting you in the cups with them. It is probably a good thing you didn't get in though. I have seen how fast some kids can get their cups spinning. Pretty soon I am going to have to just let the older two have their own cup.

That is funny that you would get evening sickness. I have found that this time it is off and on all day. Everytime I think I am feeling better I will go to get some food and then some smell will upset me again. I know if I can force myself to eat that I will feel better. So if I graze through out the day I do okay. It's just when I go for a long period of time without eating. I never got sick with my first pregnancy, and found that I got progressively sicker with each one. This one seems to be off and on all day.

Sooooooooooooooo when is the next time you guys are going? Haha~

Wow that's a lot of bacon!!! I don't think I could eat that much even when I wasn't a vegetarian. They really love that huh? I can't do the Tea Cups either! I tell DH he can go by himself and then he won't go. Buhahah!

I don't know when we will go back. It looks like it will probably end up being sometime next year. Hopefully they will offer the kids free again next year.

I think bacon is one of the few things my kids do eat. I have to get them to try more things. If I can get DS7 to drink beverly, I know I can get him to eat more variety. ;)
