DH and I are celebrating our :lovestruc25th wedding anniversary:love:. I would like to go to somewhere special to eat. Cost is some what factor, but we could eat for less some were else during the week.

Where would you go? and do you think I could get reservations now?

Thank You,
Sharlene

My recommendation for more reasonably priced would be Grand Floridian Cafe. We've always had good meals there, the atmosphere is really Victorian and pretty. Mention it's your anniversary and if you could have a quiet window seat. They might be able to accommodate. The chocolate ganache fondue for two dessert is delicious.

If you can spend a little more, Artist Point is so lovely during the holidays. I love the decorations they put up. Again, ask for a quiet window seat if possible. The restaurant over looks the pool and a waterfall and the lights outside are pretty too. If it's on a night when Wishes is showing, you could plan it so that you're finished around the time of Wishes and then go down to the dock, catch the boat to MK and see Wishes. From there you can catch the bus back to your resort.

An Epcot restaurant would be nice too. I love walking around World Showcase at night with the lights on the buildings and trees, very romantic.

The Grand Floridian Cafe is one of our favs too. I second the chocolate fondue there (I crave that stuff)! Soooo yummy!!!! Other recommendations I would make is also at The Grand at Narccoossee's....VERY GOOD! We also LOVE THe Yachtsman Steakhouse at THe Yacht and Beach Club.....Have fun!

The Grand Floridian Cafe has high recommendations.

The Yachtsman Steakhouse also sounds great. I've seen some great food pictures from here.

I have heard of Narcoossee, but what is "The Grand"?

My husband and I will also be celebrating our 25th anniversary next year with a trip to WDW. I'm enjoying reading everyones suggestions. I'd also like to plan a romantic dinner out. What is the dress code for any of these places. Would we be out of place if we were dressed up. For example, husband w/shirt and tie and myself in a dress. Thanks for letting me ask a question. Happy 25th to the both of you and I hope you enjoy your trip. Thanks.

Lynn

We celebrate our 25th in 2010 - our next time in WDW.
Our kids will be with us (teens).

We plan a Cindy dinner and ordering the slipper dessert to share for us. I also plan to get the engraved glass slipper for us (if it still can be ordered in 2010).

Maybe not the most romatic place - but lots of fun for our family.

If you are willing to spend a little more money, I would highly recommend Citricos in the Grand Floridian. It's a little more upscale - tank tops and cut offs aren't really recommended but are still okay to wear, yet some people still dress up - I guess because it is right beside Victoria and Albert's.

My family and I ate there 2 days ago and absolutely loved it. I had never heard of the place before but decided to change our ADR from Trails End to this because we had points still on our Dining Plan on the last day that we wanted to use up. I was feeling under the weather as Fay sent me one monster of a cold but I found myself not being able to stop eating. I simply had the chicken breast, which I must say, puts 50's Prime Time's fried chicken to shame. For dessert I had the Warm Chocolate Banana Tart, which was like a small chocolate cake with a thin layer of warm banana on the inside and caramelized bananas on top.

Inside had a nice cozy feel and we had a spot against the window because it wasn't busy at all, and the view was fantastic. It looked out onto the water where a few boats were parked but we could still see the castle which was very nice.

So if you are looking for a quiet, cozy place to eat that is slightly more upscale, then I would for sure recommend Citricos :thumbsup2

Citrico's is delicious, but when we were there it was a noisy free-for-all. There is an open kitchen, which contributes to decibel level. Also, recently someone posted that the restaurant manager allowed several people to sit far from their kids, with the kids being at a table in another part of the restaurant where they pestered other diners and created a general nuisance by rolling around on the floor and, ultimately, starting a food fight.

For quiet romance at WDW, IMO, one is limited to V&A and sometimes Artist Point if you dine late. Sometimes Yachtsman Steakhouse is okay as well.

You know, one of the most romantic places to eat IMO is in Epcot - San Angel Inn - the ambiance is great! The food is also good, although many don't share that opinion Another place I love to eat in Epcot is R&C, especially if you can eat outside. I love both these places. We ate at R&C on our 35th anniversary, not planned but that's where we ended up. Ate a couple of days later at Bistro which was planned as an anniversay treat - not cheap but very very good. have a great time where ever you decide!

DH and I are celebrating our 25th at Disney next week. We are going to Fulton's at Downtown Disney as it is the first Disney restaurant my DH ever took me to and becasue we love the food and the service, plus we don't have to dress up (I can go in capris and a nice top). DH refuses to dress up on vacation so we have never done any of the signature restaurants.

I would pick either California Grill or Jiko. I would cut back one of the other nights so that you could dine at either one. We celebrated our 20th & 25th anniversarys at California Grill.

We ate on the Empress Lilly during our honeymoon 25 years ago:love: . Now it's changed to Fultons but we want to still celebrate our 25th there and remember it as the Lilly.

We celebrated our 25th with dinner at Artist Point. They gave us souvenier menus, wishing us a happy anniversary, and a beautiful table.
