Cedar Point, OH Tips?

Love cedar point (I'm a buckeye after all) :)
If you only have a day and love rides, do the fast lanes add on. The lines can be soooo slow.
The food is expensive! Ditto everyone on the lockers. If you wear sandals some rides require you to take them off.
Don't pass up the older rides! My favorite ride is still the raptor. They have bigger/faster ones but that's the one for me! I was terrified of the power tower and refused to ride it for years, finally did it last year, the view is amazing at the top!

I agree on everything you said except one...

GO BLUE!!!!!

Hahaha

I prefer Kings Island to Cedar Point, it is in Mason near Cincinnati. The area around it is more upscale where as I thought CP looked a little run down and there are plenty of hotels and places to eat that are nicer. Great Wolf is next door. If you want Cedar Point, there are discounts on the Discover Ohio large drink cups at McD's $20 off two tickets. (looks like the tickets are $59.99 a day now!). We get KI discounts at our Kroger store so they may have Cedar Point too or check AAA. I heard something about a hotel discount on the radio because DH said we should go to Cedar Point (he grew up near there and went a lot). We are less than an hour from King's Island now, so I really have no desire to drive 3 hours to a similar park. Which is not even close to being Disney! The food is terrible and expensive, makes you appreciate WDW food though!
I believe Kroger has both CP and KI tickets also, My meijer ( central, OH) has both Kings Island and Cedar Point Tickets for sale, There is the Discover oh discount, and AAA does offer discounts on Tickets for both Kings Island and CP, I believe when looking for my brother the Meijer price was cheaper or as cheap as AAA price but I can Check Again if needed.

Here is another recent thread about CP

Castaway Bay hotel is old and dirty. They took this hotel over from the Radisson and did very little to the rooms. The water park at Castway is very very small compared to the other two water parks in town.

You can take drinks/ snacks into the park. You just can take full size coolers into the park. We had taken a small lunch box size cooler in with us. Not far form the park is a Subway and we stop there get a foot long sub to split put it in our cooler with some ice packs. rent a locker to stick it in and at lunch time we are all set to go. Or if you look at the thread above you will see a post from me about eating diner at Famous Daves which is onsite and then you get your parking for free. It's $15 to park at CP.

We are going in August. I've read that 2 or 3 of the coasters don't have a cubby to put belongings in while on the ride. Do they charge for lockers--if so, how much?

Thanks. :)
