Is this something they do every year? I tried to work it out to take a spur of the moment trip up there, but it's not going to work out. I will plan ahead next summer if this is a deal that might come up again.

Yes this is an annual promotion. If you know you're going to go, save up mycokereward points too. They often have flash deals and sweepstakes. This year was awesome because they had a flash deal for 250 points per ticket, I exhausted most of my points to get three tickets. Then right after that they had a sweepstakes for more ticket packages... I figured why not try since it might not be a popular sweep on the heels of the flash deal. I was right, I won a 2-ticket package on each of my mycokereward accounts - seven free tickets total!

Thanks for the info! I am a member of mycokerewards and I got a kings island ticket for my nephew when they had that deal. We have season passes to KI. That is so cool that you won the sweepstakes! I will have to try that next year, and save my points for tickets too.
