I read on another site that an option to save money was to purchase Cdn. Traveller's Cheques and to exchange them for U.S. cash in Florida at the Sun Trust Bank across from Downtown Disney. Apparently the exchange rate is much better there.

Has anyone ever done this and if so, is it really worth the hassle?

Thanks for any info.

Have a great day.

When I went down in January my dad had been told the same thing. I was a little skeptical so I did some exchanging at home and took some Cdn with me to exchange there. Lost our shirts!!!!Bad idea!!!The exchange rate at home was something like 1.52, the rate we got there was 1.62. Also the only place we could do it was at MK. Everywhere else wanted a $20U.S. service fee because we didn't have an account at the bank. MK was exact same rates as the banks in FL. Called home to see if maybe there was a major change in rate after we left...there wasn't. From experience I would definitely say do it at home.

Thanks Tracey, for the information, it's really good to know. Have a good day.
