ok... was looking at the exchange just now and can anyone tell me if it's listing at 1.299 what would the banks be selling it at?? considering going into the bank and putting the rest of my 'spending' money into our US account!

We also go to pay off our trip tomorrow and were going to use our c.card to get the points.... how does the exchange work with that?? How much more do the c.card companies charge??

Do you think the dollar will get any better for us then it is right now?

Credit card companies usually charge a higher exchange rate that a cash/cheque transaction-the amount depends on the type of card. Also, most credit card companies charge between 1.5%-2.5% of the purchase price of the item ie. for $1000 US they would put the charge through at $1025 (2.5%).

Not from Canada Post but have gotten bank drafts from my bank at no extra charge.

Just bumping this up because the Canadian dollar is doing well today...exchange rate of 1.29 or .7745. Bought $125 on Friday and looks like I'll be heading back for more today.
