what is the best way to get from the airport to disneyland? i am thinking the bus as with our luggage and the buggy and a toddler it might be difficult to get the train. what do you think?

any tips on the bus. is it reliable? how long approx does it take to get to dlp. oh and is it easy to find the bus stop from the baggage claim

thank you

The only comment I can make on the bus is that we had planned to take it but couldn't find it!!

The train in theory seems like a great idea, but if you've got kids/luggage might not work out in practice. This was our backup plan but I think they are only every hour and we missed the one we would've got.

Taxi's/transfers you can either pre-book or use as a back up for either of the other two as there are MILLIONS of them at CDG. When we got in ours and started driving away, I thought there was a huge traffic jam then I realised it was just taxi's parked on both sides of the road all the way out of the airport :rotfl:

Lots of people have reported the bus being easiest when travelling with children and luggage and also using the bus without having any probs finding it, so I guess it's really a personal preference thing. One thing I wouldn't do though is prebook the train or the bus just in case. You can pay for both when you're there

yeah my mom wanted me to pay for the bus in advance but i said no. with my luck it would be full or we couldnt find it or something. so im definately not gonna pay twice lol.

on the majority of our trips we have used the Bus without any problems. They used to have Mickey Mouse ears on the floor guiding you to the bus pick up area but I believe these have gone however when we were there in June there were guys wearing the Bus uniform directing you to the actual pick up point and I'm sure it was also signposted when you come out of the terminal with your luggage, etc. The bus itself doesn't take very long and plays a video enroute just to add to the excitement :)

:) Hi ,
We have booked private transfers in the past with BS Transport , and their rates are reasonable .
The benefit is you they are waiting for you at arrivals & you can be at your resort in 40 mins.
They also provide car seats if you request them at the time of booking .

i have just checked out their website and its not much more than the bus costs. im really interested in this thanks. are they a good service. where do they pick you up? how do you you know which car is yours? can you book a return trip like they will pick you up at the hotel. this would be great *** after a 2 1/2 hour flight the thought of waiting struggling onto a bus and keeping ash entertained does not sound like fun thanks for any info you have

Hi ,
The service is excellent . We used it last May . As you come out of arrivals a chauffer is waiting for you with your name on a card , and the car is right outside .
Our return trip was fine too - the chauffer turned up on time , and even waited 20 mins for us as my little boyhad been unwell.
The transfer time was much quicker than the Navettes shuttle , and the car seats provided were great.
I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.
They do give further instructions I think , once you have booked.
Any more questions feel free to ask .

thank you so much i actually emailed them and they emailed me back straight away with a price. i was a bit dubious then *** they are like 25 euro cheaper each way than companies i had looked at earlier and decided they were too expensive. so im glad you replied and told me the were good. can you pay cash on arrival i always think im gonna be ripped off over the internet lol

Hello,

Booked our first trip to Paris yesterday,

We are also looking into getting from CDG to Disney.

How much do these options cost, The train and bus?

Thank you :)

im not sure about the train but the bus is 17 euro each way

the above company i just got a quote for 80 each way for five people which is great.

€17 is not bad, I'm happy to take the train ride however looking online the prices start from £35 for the two of us!

yeah see i think the bus would take too long. and i have a toddler. but you would have to walk from the train station to your hotel. also im not sure if you have to change trains maybe someone might be able to clear that up but i think i read that

I think we paid a small deposit , then paid the driver so much for the first leg of the journey , then the balance on the return.
Hope this helps.

The €17 will be per person though so €34 for both.

The hotel shuttle buses are right outside the train station so you can just jump on one of them to your hotel, you wouldn't need to walk.

If it's the TGV you mean there is no changing trains, it's just 10 minutes on one train. If it's the RER you have to actually go into Paris and then change and back out again (really not worth it imo) HTH

thanks for clearing that up i knew i read something about changing trains i think im gone into disney overload at this stage lol

We have also used this company and would not use any other method of getting to DLRP from the airport. We paid the driver 60% of the fee in cash when we arrived at our hotel and the other 40% when he dropped us back at the airport. As already said, they are reliable and easy to find on arrival. :thumbsup2

thanks so much its great to know that you will be traveling with some recomendations kwim. i am definately gonna book them today. i was so nervous of trying to find and get on the bus and the lenght of the journey as i think my 22 month old will have had enough by then so this is absolutly brilliant . thanks again

Hi,

I've been looking into getting the TGV for when we go in November. The main reason for this is that I don't fancy sitting on a bus for a further 45 minutes, or more, with the kids after a 2 1/2 hour flight. 10 minutes on a train is much more appealing. And we don't mind the walk to the hotel once we're there.

With regards to missing the train - you can pay a little extra for a transferable ticket (about £3) so I intend to book for a later train and if we're there earlier transfer it to the next available train. And because both kids are under 4 they both travel for free on the train.

It all sounds so easy, doesn't it!

Hi

We are going 25 - 28 Sept. Now thinking of this option as it will only be an extra 20euros each way above the shuttle price and with 2 children, cases etc it may be easier.

Normally when using the shuttle we allow 2 1/2 hours to get back to the airport, allowing for traffic other hotel pickups etc. I am thinking maybe with this we would have a bit longer in the parks on the Sunday.

I think our flight back on Sunday evening is about 9.00 ish and normally we would get the shuttle bus about 5.00 ish.

What time do you think we would we need to book the taxi for to get us back to the airport, allowing for any traffic etc?

TIA
Mags
