We're taking our 18 month old to DW for her first time in Feb. I am looking for a CD I can play for her that will get her familiar with all the DW songs. Can anyone suggest a good CD that has Small World, Yo Ho Ho, and the HM theme etc?

Thanks :wizard:

Disney's Happiest Celebration on Earth CD

There is this CD that just came out, though it's technically Disneyland music. If you wanted more Disney World music, you could try ebay or Amazon for the official album or maybe even try Disney World mail order merchandise. I hope this helps a little. Maybe someone else will have a better suggestion.

Walmart has several Disney music CD's.

We just purchased the set of three which has the glittery Mickey Mouse heads on them: red Mickey Mouse head, green Mickey Mouse head, and blue Mickey Mouse head. (They're called "Disney's Greatest" - you may have seen Time-Life advertisements of them on TV.)

The songs on the CD's are from the movies sung by the characters or how the songs are/were sung for the movies and/or attractions.

Each CD cost $13.88, if I remember correctly, and has 20 songs on it:

Volume #1 (Blue Mickey Mouse Head) has the following songs:

"Strangers Like Me" from Tarzan
"Reflection" from Mulan
"I Won't Say I'm In Love" from Hercules
"Out There" from The Hunchback of Notre Dame
"You've Got a Friend In Me" from Toy Story
"Just Around the Riverbend" from Pocahontas
"Circle of Life" from The Lion King
"A Whole New World" from Aladdin
"Beauty & the Beast"
"Kiss the Girl" from The Little Mermaid
"I Wanna Be Like You" from The Jungle Book
"Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" from Mary Poppins
"Cruella De Vil" from 101 Dalmations
"Once Upon a Dream" from Sleeping Beauty
"Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo" from Cinderella
"You Can Fly! You Can Fly! You Can Fly!" from Peter Pan
"Zip A Dee Doo Dah" from Song of the South (also the theme of Splash Mountain, I think)
"Heigh-Ho" from Snow White
"Belle Notte" from Lady & the Tramp
"When You Wish Upon a Star" from Pinocchio (also the "theme" of Wishes, right?)

Volume #2 (Green Mickey Mouse Head) has the following songs:

"You'll Be In My Heart" from Tarzan
"I'll Make A Man Out Of You" from Mulan
"Go The Distance" from Hercules
"Bells of Notre Dame" from The Hunchback of Notre Dame
"Colors of the Wind" from Pocahontas
"Hakuna Matata" from The Lion King
"Be Our Guest" from Beauty & the Beast
"Under the Sea" from The Little Mermaid
"Winnie-the-Pooh" from Winnie-the-Pooh & the Honey Tree
"Bare Necesities" from The Jungle Book (my DH's all-time fav Disney song!)
"Chim Chim Cher-ee" from Mary Poppins
"A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes" from Cinderella (also used in Wishes, I'm sure)
"Mickey Mouse March" from Mickey Mouse Club
"The Ballad of Davy Crockett" from Davy Crockett
"It's A Small World" (the one & only! :) )
"He's a Tramp" from Lady & the Tramp
"The Second Star to the Right" from Peter Pan
"Little April Shower" from Bambi
"I've Got No Strings" from Pinocchio
"Some Day My Prince Will Come" from Snow White

And, finally, Volume #3 (Red Mickey Mouse Head) has the following songs:

"I'll Try" from Return to Neverland (my fav Disney song!)
"When She Loved Me" from Toy Story 2
"He Lives in You" from Rhythm of the Pridelands
"The Wonderful Thing About Tiggers" from The Tigger Movie
"Topsy Turvy" from The Hunchback of Notre Dame
"Can You Feel the Love Tonight" from The Lion King
"What's This" from Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas
"Gaston" from Beauty & the Beast
"Poor Unforrtunate Souls" from The Little Mermaid
"Part of Your World" from The Little Mermaid
"Best of Friends" from The Fox & the Hound
"Everbody Wants to be a Cat" from The Aristocats
"Yo Ho!" from Pirates of the Caribbean
"A Spoonful of Sugar" from Mary Poppins
"The Tiki, Tiki, Tiki Room" from The Enchanted Tiki Room
"The Siamese Cat Song" from Lady & the Tramp
"Pink Elephants on Parade" from Dumbo
"Give a Little Whistle" from Pinocchio
"Who's Afraid of the Big, Bad Wolf" from The Three Little Pigs
"Mickey Mouse Club Alma Mater" from The Mickey Mouse Club

The CD's DON'T have the theme from Haunted Mansion, unfortunately. They're also missing "Baby Mine" from Dumbo, another of my favorites. I wish they had included it instead of quite so many songs from The Hunchback of Notre Dame - which we've never even seen . . . However, all in all, I think the CD's are a pretty good collection of Disney songs. Each time we play one, it reminds me of being on hold w/ Disney Dining trying to make our PS's! :rotfl:

This is a great idea! We did the same thing the first time we took our DS, then 2. It was great to watch his face as the music would start to play in an attraction! The best was when he first stepped foot on Main Street and heard the music playing and started dancing! It still brings tears to my eyes everytime I think of it! So I agree with wdwgirl03...contact WDW merchandise and tell them you want to purchase the officail park CD. It should have all the major attractions....PotC, HM, SM, IASW, Tiki Room and the Main Street music. That is ALL that we listen to in our van! It was actually the same CD that I played to our newest Son (now 6 months) when I was pregnant for him. He always gets excited when he hears it now! :teeth:

I have a Disneyland Fun Sing-a-long Songs video that has alot of clips of the MK with the characters singing the songs. I LOVE this video and so did my kids at a young age.
P.S. The HM is on this video. I would recommend this video to Disney kids of all ages. :teeth:

I am a children's librarian, and a Disney nut, so I tend to buy lots of Disney CDs for the children's music collection. My favorite for Disney music is the Classic Disney series. There are 5 CDs in this series, and I've never seen anything more comprehensive where Disney music is concerned. See if your local library has them. They are simply titled Classic Disney Volume I and so forth. Enjoy!
