I was just wondering if anyone has done this, with the paper glued on the CD? Did you sand the CD first? What kind of glue did you use?

Thanks!

My Little Bit got one of these as a SS gift.
But I can't tell how it was put together.

Personally, I would use a little sand paper to scratch it up. Then a layer of modgepodge, paper, another layer of modgepodge. Then use any adhesive you wanted after that.

Thanks AWM. I was thinking the sand paper too. Does the one you have look like it was modpodged?

::yes::

As the bottom layer. There are other embellishments that are not all glossy looking.

MarlynnP made me one as a SS gift - I just completed it yesterday:goodvibes Try PM-ing her for what she did-It was awesome!:lovestruc

I made both of those albums!

Mod Podge and I didn't need to sand... I only sand metal.
Cut the paper circles slightly larger. Adhere one side at a time and let dry.
I did not cover the top of the paper with mod podge.
After paper is on both side use an emery board or sanding block to get rid of the excess paper on the edges.

Be careful not to poke a hole through the middle!

i totally had the wrong thing in my brain when i opened this. i bought the round tin thing that looks like a cd, but has paper inside on the clearance bin at acmoore. i have been dying to make it. has anyone made one of these??

Thanks for the answers everyone...

PO3- I did a tin at CKC last year. One of the things I remember was using a rub on right on the metal..it looked really cool!

oh cool! thanks deb. i never thought of using a rub on right on it. i have some really cool black ones that will look nice with the tin color. i kinda want to do it for my sil for xmas. i thought she'd like it. i paid next to nothing for it. it was the only one just sitting there.
ya know what will happen right??? i'll put my everything into it then i will not want to give it away!!!!

thanks again deb for the idea!
