I am confused (and kinda nervous) as the CM who booked us for Brkfst at Akershus said we needed a Credit card to guarantee but said it was still 1 TS credit. The only time I have ever had to give my CC was at CRT and that was 2 credits.

Has this happened to anyone else booking this restaurant?

Yes, I had to give my CC last week. The CM told me that all princess meal require it. He said that it was so in demand that they take CC so no one will decide to just no show.

That makes sense as I actually had a hard time finding a time that would work for our Sept trip. I think with the photos now being included, this is going to be popular!

I think also since they switched this to the portrait package, kind of like CRT where you get a photo package deal that they require cc to book now.

They told me they were going to charge the whole thing when I made my res. Has anyone had this show on their bill? :confused3 I had at first thought that they would just take the CC number as a guarantee in case of no show.
Anyone?

No I was told it was just to hold my reservation and I could cancel before 48 hrs out. I was then told we would be charged $10 pp on the CC I used if we no showed.

If they are turning it into like the CRT, then they probably charge you right away. That is what happened when I made my CRT reservation. It showed up immediately on my card. Now that they are doing the picture package kind of like CRT, they will probably follow the same with charging you up front and you being able to cancel within a certin timeframe. I had to cancel my CRT ressies because we are switching resorts and vacation times so I will have to make a new one.

I had to give my cc# and was told that it would only be charged $10/person if we didn't cancel within 48 hours of the reservation.

If you are using the DDP you will still need to use a credit card to confirm the booking. It is so that they can charge you the no show fee if need be. They can't really charge you the no show fee if they don't have anything to charge it to, if that makes sense. You will only be charged the full meal amount if you are not using the DDP, and it will show up almost immediately on your card statement. The $10 charge is only made if you don't cancel within the time specified and then not show.

So when you book make sure you tell them if you plan on using DDP credits for the meal. They are usually good enough to ask. Just so there is no mistaken billing.

Not all princess meals require a credit card guarantee - just Akershus. Your card will only be charged if you don't show up or cancel.

At this time only CRT is paid in full at booking.

Where did you read that it is a photo package? I looked on allears and the Disney site and I did not see it anywhere. Thanks!

If you click on "Special Holiday Pricing May Apply" on the allearsnet menu for Princess Storybook Breakfast, it will take you to WDW Restaurant and Dining News. Scroll down to January 2008 and it says it there.

They took my cc info too, but because I am on the ddp they didn't charge me. Also they informed me of the portrait package that will be included now. So it is becoming more like crt, but it is still only 1 ts I was told.

Thanks! Two photo packages for us then since we are eating dinner at CRT as well!
