On our cruise meet board, we've inadvertantly discovered that virtually everyone booked for parasailing on Castaway Cay at 2:00 on October 26th is a DISer!

Very cool, but it seems to be a fairly large group of folks. I'm not sure if everyone's whole party is parasailing, but we've got four individuals in our group alone who are doing it. If both of the other groups are all going, too, we could have a dozen people or more on the boat.

Does anybody know how big a group is typically on the boat? How long does the trip usually take? How do they decide who goes in what order?

I don't remember for sure, but I think 2 can go out at a time (4 people if you are to go tandem). It is a first come first serve basis. We were going to go out when we were there, but it was too windy so we did not get to go. If memory serves me correctly, I believe they told me it is about at least a 45 minute trip by the time they get out to the area they go sailing then hook people up and they each get their rides and then come back.

Somebody please correct me if I am wrong!!!

On our August 2003 cruise, we had two speed boats go out at the same time, with about 10 people on each boat. We were out on the water for about one hour. We were slected to go in the order we were sitting on the boat.
