I have a dilemma. We have a trip coming up in October. I figure airfare will be about $250 per person. I'm always thinking of ways to get to Disney cheaper thus my trouble....

I have the Disney Visa thru Chase. I have a small balance on it (less than $100). I just got an offer from Air Tran to open a new account with them, make one purchase and transfer a balance and I will get a enough points for a free ticket. My credit score is good. I don't have many CCs.

Has anyone taken this offer from Air Tran? I don't plan on using the card for anything else. We would most likely fly AirTran to MCO anyway as they have the lowest cost and fly out of the Humphrey terminal in MSP.

I have. I love the Airtran Visa - I cannot believe HOW FAST I earn credits on that card!

Doesn't the Disney Card offer 6 months financing for a Disney trip? Would that help?

Most credit cards charge you a fee to transfer the balance so you might want to check how much that fee is first before you make a decision.

If you want the southwest card I'd say apply directly through southwest.com

They give you $20 off or 8 flight credits; the link posted by PP didn't say anything about that.

The link I posted is for 16 credits after first use, it states it in the box to the right and is the first sentence in the terms and conditions:

"You will qualify and receive 16 bonus credits after your first purchase/first use of the card. "

Chase is the bank that issues the Southwest VISA cards.

Yes, it's just best whenever you are on the internet to go directly to an identifiable, simple site like southwest.com (as an example) rather than a longer link that could be something malicious or a referral link.
