Hi.
I plan on running the 5K at CC in September and have a cabana booked at SB.
I do not want to go back to the ship once on CC.
My mom will meet me at the SB cabana. If I bring my beach bag with me for the 5K,
do I just leave it with everything else that everyone brings or is there a way to
get it to my cabana? Is this a question and something that concierge could/will help me
with that day? My mom won't be able to carry her items and mine together.

If I decided I did want to/have to go back to the ship, approximately what time does the race begin and
do I get the medal as soon as I cross the finish line? Once I know what time it approximately begins, I can figure it out from there.

Thank you so much!

If you have a concierge room then ask shoreside concierge for help on this.

Thank you. So, they should be able to get my stuff to the cabana? I will also need assistance whether I'm with/without my mom to walk from SB tram drop to cabana 25. I guess I should also arrange this with them too.

Approximately what time does the "race" usually begin. Thank you.

Every 5K is different. Some say they are off the ship well before normal guests. I haven't had that experience with the normal island 5K. I've generally started after 9 each time. You meet early then slowly get off the ship then walk en masse to the start.

There IS a locker at the start/finish that isn't locked but there are CMs there the whole time where you can store stuff. In your shoes I would just put it in that spot.

You get the medal when you cross the line. Then you would just grab the stuff from the locker thing and move on to where you need to be.

I will also need assistance whether I'm with/without my mom to walk from SB tram drop to cabana 25.

What do you need assistance with?

Not sure if the SB cabanas have a different checkin desk as the family beach ones. When we had a family beach cabana the checkin kiosk was right near the start/finish line, so we got our medals, looked at the merchandise a bit, and then checked in. They got a golf cart for us to take us there. easy peasy.

I cannot imagine how Shoreside is going to help with this. No one knows how the 5K will be held on your sailing; that won't be known until that sailing and that day. If you want someone to help with this, get onboard, meet your on-the-ship concierge staff, and ask them in person how they can help you. Seems a LOT easier than hoping someone on-shore will know how things will be held (it can change every sailing!) and what the staff will be able to do for you.

Thank you. I meant I would ask concierge once we are on the ship about getting my stuff from the race to the cabana on SB.
Since there are lockers, perhaps I'll just take my stuff and my mom's stuff off with me and put in the lockers and meet her at the cabana
when I'm done and she is off the ship. I was asking about assistance for my mom to walk from the SB tram drop off to cabana 25.
She can walk without problems but if it is too long, will need some help. I was wondering if there is a golf cart or something like that to take
her from the tram drop off to SB cabana 25.

Thanks so much for all your help!!!

Just so you know...there are not lockers plural, there is one box at the start/finish line that everyone's stuff goes in together. It can be locked.

The one time I had a cabana was on the family beach, but I remember that a CM drove me right to the door in a golf cart. Not sure how it works on SB.

Thank you for this information!

You should arrange for a golf cart to take your mother from the ship to your cabana. Then you can give her your bag. You should also ask about a cart to take you to your cabana after your run.

Thank you. I do this with concierge, correct? I will take your advice.

Perfect.
Just printed this information so I have my list when we board.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!
You are welcome. I gotta tell ya, there is nothing better than getting to your cabana and grabbing a cold towel and water from the mini fridge and looking out at the water after a 3 mile run. Keep that in mind when you are running on that asphalt runway.;) Have fun!
