I am torn between 2 weeks at POP or 2 weeks at CBR. We (DD19 and myself) have been at POP and enjoyed it but it is always exciting to go somewhere new.

Since we eat most breakfasts and some lunches/dinners at the food courts, I'm wondering what you think of CBR's foodcourt. Is there more of a selection than at POP?

To avoid being far from the food court, is it necessary to pay for a preferred room? I am thinking since the pirate rooms are the furthest, maybe it is not necessary...at least I hope not.

We like CBR's food court better. As well as everything else. They have a wonderful zero entry pool with slides and 2 hot tubs. Carribbean music playing and palm trees. They have a lake with white sand with hammocks. Rooms are a little bigger and bathroom have 2 sinks. But YES- we enjoyed the food court MUCH more than POP.

I would choose CRB, I love it! It is a very large resort so getting a preferred room in Martinique or Trinidad North will get you close to the food court.

I also love the look and feel of the Market Street Food Court!

I love CBR. Despite (or maybe even because of) its size it's our favourite mod. I think the food court is just fine, and the shops are too. I think the preferred sites are a good idea if you have any mobility impairments, and I'd definitely not pay for the pirate rooms unless I had a youngster who was begging for one. Even though I do have mobility problems, we always ask for (and have been given) a room in Jamaica. It's about a 5 minute walk across the bridge and is a beautiful way to start or end a day.

We love the CBR. I think the food court has a great selection of food. We have usually been in Aruba which is just a 5 minute walk over the bridge to Old Port Royale. I don't think a preferred room is necessary if you have older kids and don't mind the walk. This May we are getting the preferred room since it is our first trip during the hotter months with the kids. (Last 2 trips have been in December but that stopped when DS entered kindergarten.)

Glad to see the good reviews. We stayed at CBR for my first two trips which was many years ago. I want to stay there again in 2013, because we LOVED it. We tried several other places from value to deluxe and truly so far CBR is my favorite.
