Please tell me all you know about this resort. We are gonna stay there on our next trip and the resort looks just beautiful. We were gonna pick a deluxe but I was looking at the pics on allears and this resort caught my eye. What have you done here. Do you just take a few hour to walk around. I can't wait to stay here. :dance3:

We were there for a week in September it was wonderful. The staff was great room was very clean, my daughter dropped a pin behind the bench and I was sure there would be all maner of stuff back there, when I moved it, it was as clean as the rest of the room. Do take some time to explore the grounds. We were even able to see the fireworks at Epcot from the beach. Have a good trip!!

CBR is a beautiful resort. You can feel like you have escaped from the world. You might want to visit the CBR FAQ thread link below. I also have loads of pictures of CBR in the links below.

We love CBR! All the beaches, hammocks, pools... the food court.... the boat rentals on the resort's own 45-acre lake, the beautiful 1.4-mile Promenade walkway around the lake, the bus stops close to just about every room, and the Caribbean steel drum music overhead at Old Port Royale -- we love CBR!!

We love CBR. Even after staying at a deluxe, I still love the theming, the palm trees, the hammocks, everything. Our rooms was very clean. At Beach Club we had to wait forever to get hot water come out out of the sinks, but not at CBR. They give you a fridge and a coffeemaker, which is convenient if you get up early and want a quick cup of coffee.

We never heard a peep from our neighbors on our last stay there. It's so quiet and peaceful.

Thanks everyone. I can't wait. just a little less then to years to go :headache:

Were teabags supplied as well? Just trying to decide if I should bring my own. Thanks!

We were just there this past May and had a great stay. We wanted to be away from it all and requested Trinidad South and loved it, however I know most people want to be closer to Old Port Royal. I did my morning run on the path around the lake, really great, and mousekeeping was top notch. You have a little less than 2 years to go, well, just keep coming on the Dis forum, that'll keep you going until then.

The CBR is my favorite of all the resorts at WDW - it fact we leave in 6 days for our next visit to CBR. I love the Caribbean theme - it reminds me so much of Nassau - but a lot less crowded!! I took my 80 year-old mother a couple of years ago and she thought it was the most beautiful resort she had ever visited!!

Hi disneygal2001! I've never stayed at CBR so I don't have any comment on that. Just wanted to let you know we're going in 2009 as well & I know it seems far away but it'll be here before you know it. We just got back in October 07 and I booked in May 06 for our May 07 trip which we had to cancel due to DD5 being sick then we rescheduled for October 07. That was not fun telling the kids they had to wait 5 more months. But it went fast. Hang in there.

Actually my sister stayed at CBR and its her favorite moderate - she loved the atmosphere. Well, I guess my post wasn't completely unhelpful. Have fun planning!

We were there 9 days in Aug. We have been to all of the moderates some values and some deluxe.

What we liked about cbr: The tropical feel, the music, the pool bar(the pool area seemed to be where everyone congragated due to the fact that there is no lobby area or lounge area inside.) The rooms were slightly bigger. The internal shuttle was very quick, frequent and fast. We stayed at Jamacia which was not preferred but just a quick trip over the bridge to the pool and food court. The hammocks, beaches, the birds. The bright colors. The grounds are beautiful with lush vegitation and flowers. The location was the most central to all areas. No one long bus ride anywhere. All staff were friendly and accomadating.

What we did not like as much: The rooms and rugs are a bit older and worn. There was a courtesey desk near the pool and food court but check in and check out are at another building which was removed from all the guest rooms. The pool was small but well themed.

Staff told us that they are replacing the big pool with a huge pool area with pools, hot tubs and fountains. I guess it will be worth another trip when this happens. I'm not sure when the rooms were refurb but I imagine they are due soon as they were a bit worn. If you are going in 2009 you should be able to enjoy these enhancements. Have a great time planning.

I hope so. Sometimes it feels so far away.

Every little bit helps. The hard part is my hubby will be gone to Kuwait so i'll have to wait for him to call to tell him the cool things I found at Disney to do. That will be a bummer but the good part is everything I plan will be a surprise for him.
