We are staying at CBR. We have an infant...is there a difference which building you stay at?

Trinidad North and Martinique are considered preferred locations and cost extra nightly to stay there.

You might want to read the CBR FAQ's threads listed below for more information about the resort. I would suggest Jamaica if you don't want to pay extra for a preferred location.

I just got back from CBR on Saturday. This resort is huge. I would suggest that you consult a resort map to decide which area might work best for you.

Some areas of the resort are quite a distance from Old Port Royale which houses the food court, Shutters (sit-down), gift shop and main themed pool. If these are facilities that you think you would prefer to be close to then you may want to request villages near there. Note: requesting something does not guarantee that you will get it.

The good things. There is an internal resort bus so even if you are situated at an area that is a little farther away than you would prefer at least you can take the bus around OPR or whereever you are headed. Additionally, there is a quite pool located in each village so you don't have to truck over to OPR for a dip if you don't want to.

If you feel you need to be close to the Food Court and Shop, try Trinidad North or Martinique. We have always stayed there to be close to the main pool as rental bicycles.

We stayed at Barbados in December. It was only a 5 minute walk to OPR.
We love this resort and will be staying there again in November.
:cool1:

In December, we stayed in Jamaica building 45. It's directly across from the walkway over the lagoon to Old Port Royale - just a very pleasant few minutes walk. And you don't have to pay extra for the preferred rooms.

Ditto! We love Jamaica, it is usually the first bus stop (so you always get a seat!) and it is a short walk to the food court. :D

We chose Jamaica for these reasons too.

Another vote for Jamaica and building 45 is my favorite as well. Although I have stayed in many different parts and sections of Jamaica, 45 is the best as far as being closest to OPR. We like it because we enjoy the short walk over the bridge and would miss it if we were staying on the "other" side...lol...it has has become part of a ritual for us, every night before bed we walk down to OPR and refill our mugs and get a snack, and then sit down by the beach and watch the Epcot fireworks.

My nieces really loved it when we went last August, they are 8 years old and thought it was cool for just me and them to go and get a snack and drinks without their little sister and mom....in fact, we would walk down, and then get a snack, hit the gift shop and then take the internal bus back, all because they liked riding on the bus. The driver noticed and a few times drove past our stop on purpose so they could have a thrill, and they loved it. I must admit, it was kinda fun!

Jamaica is nice and quiet but yet close to everything. I have never stayed anywhere else at CBR, the very first time we tried CBR (after being deluxe spoiled) I wanted Trin North so bad, I requested through CRO, I faxed a request etc...and when we arrived, Trin North was not available because we get a King room and it was already full, so I took Jamaica 42 and sulked, until we got to it and I just loved it and now would never request anything but Jamaica, and my second choice would be Aruba. Ok, now I am missing it very much....can't wait until our next trip! :flower1:

Thanks Hulabird. I'm taking my whole family to CBR and we are booked for Jamaica. I was worried about the walk to the food court for the early risers but it sounds perfect. :flower1:

I also stayed at Jamaica and from my room you could see the bus stop and we were the first stop in and first stop out so I always got a seat going into the Parks. I lOVED it! The short walk over the bridge every morning to the food area and main pool was my favorite time of the day. Have a wonderful trip! :flower1:

My vote is for Jamaica, building 45. We stayed there last February and requested that spot after reading all the recommendations from these disboards. It's a great location. Have a fabulous time!

I'm going to be requesting Jamaica 45 too!! I looked the map over and it looked like a nice location!
