CBR was a wonderful resort; we loved the pool, the landscaping and, the sandy play areas. We rented a surrey bike and rode around twice in half an hour. There were lots of lizards, bunnies, ducks and fish which kept the kids' entertained during the walk to the soda fountain;) . We received some washcloth animals (bunny & puppies). We were in Martinique bldg. 24 and we could walk to the beach to watch the fireworks at night. I have a couple of nit-picking problems though: 1. What's up with the small mugs? :confused3 It seems like the AKL mugs hold more soda. We did a lot of walking to fill those things up over and over. ;) 2. May I PLEASE have more soap?? While we were at AKL, we were bombarded with toiletries...WAY more than we needed. At CBR, I actually had to call and ask for bath soap, shampoo, and washcloths. There were 5 of us in the room and ONE of those little bottles of shampoo just will not cut it for a week. :rotfl2: There wasn't even any bath soap in the room before I called! We also witnessed two mousekeepers arguing in a nearby room.:earseek: I was thinking Y'all quit arguing and bring me some Mickey soap darn it!!!:rotfl2:

Welcome home. I, too, have enjoyed my stays at the CBR. I especially love the main pool.

I know that most resorts have two sizes of mugs. Perhaps they were sold out of the larger mugs during your stay??

It sounds like overall you had a nice stay at the resort. I will definitely be staying at the CBR again in the future.

That is an interesting piece of information about the two mugs (both CBR mugs hold the same amount of fluids). If I am understanding you correctly, a mug from the CBR and a mug from the AKL hold different amounts of fluids? Does that mean that if you drink lots of fluids, you should select the AKL over the CBR? Since I am the thirsty type, I am going to have to remember that little tidbit of information. ;)

Thanks for writing this report. We are arriving, from England, next Wednesday and staying at CBR. I have read such mixed reports that i was beginning to dread arriving. However people moan if they go in the delux!! I have requested Martinique and if we don't get it i'm just going to enjoy myself no matter what!

If you have requested Martinique be aware it is a preferred location costing extra. You might want to ask for Jamaica.

Oh man, hearing you describe CBR makes me want to go now. My family is leaving on June 22nd for 8 nights, and we can't wait. And we like to refill those mugs then we can go check out the gift shop more often. As for mousekekeeping I leave them a note the first day telling them to please bring soap and shampoo daily. I also leave a tip each day and I always get too much. Glad you had a good trip!! ::MickeyMo
