CBR Vs. POR

By using the summer discount we can stay at either of these resorts for $94/ night. I know they have different themeing, etc... but does anyone have any strong opinions on which they prefer? Have you ever had a really bad or really exceptional experience at one or the other?
Does one have faster and more frequent bus transportation?
I know POR has boats to DTD, does CBR have any "alternate" transportation anywhere?
Any building or section preferences for either?
We are considering travel sometime between May and December, just the 2 of us adults, no kiddos. Any month preferences?

Am guessing CBR stands for Carribean Beach - so if thats the case go for Port Orleans Riverside. CBR has no alternate transportation and the grounds aren't as pretty. POR is without a doubt the best moderate. My parents actually prefer it to some deluxe resorts. I've stayed in the Beach Club, GF and AKL but I love POR and feel at 'home' there. The boats to downtown are great and a very relaxing alternative to the buses going there. All the buildings at POR are great - we prefer the mansion buildings. My favourite is Oak Manor, which is being refurbished at the moment so you would get brand new rooms if you requested that building. Magnolia Terrace is second favourite, followed by Parterre Place and Acadian House. Alligator bayou is the other side of the resort - would not choose to stay here but are still v nice - some can be quite a walk from lobby/food court though - i think either 14 or 18 of bayou are nearest - you'd have to check? All mansion buidings are close to lobby via walk over bridge and i think they're more suited to couples and families with older children.
I've been in December - Christmas celebrations are amazing! Avoid July and August - v hot and lots of rain which can disrupt your plans! I've heard june or October's a great time to go - according to our dvc rep. Hope this helps!
