We will be staying at CBR from 12/28/02-1/2/03. This will obviously include NYE. We're used to deluxe, and want to make sure this holiday trip is perfect! I'm a little worried about CBR.

We love the CBR. On one trip, we stayed at the BWI, then cruised and then CBR. It was hard to do. Once in the bigger room of a deluxe, we foound it hard to go back to the smaller rooms.

Good Luck!!

I've had great trips to CBR and I bet you will, too. It might help to get yourself in the right frame of mind and not be "comparing" the resort to a deluxe resort. Enjoy the CBR for what it is...a taste of the Caribbean islands. Enjoy the landscaping and scenery....take romantic strolls. Listen to the music in the Old Port Royale area. Don't be looking for the big lobby, etc. At this time of year, you don't want to be hanging around the room that much anyway. Get out and enjoy all the holiday happenings around "the World".

We love the CBR. The rooms open to the outside rather than a hallway, which we prefer. The beaches are wonderful for strolls. There are laundry facilities close at hand. The atmosphere is much more peaceful in my opinion. We also like having a food court handy for when we just want to grab a snack. You can get the refillable mugs in your room that are good for drinks your entire visit. If you can put away the sodas (like my family does) they are a great buy.

The CBR is lovely!

Is it as nice as a deluxe...no...but, it's not supposed to be:D

I thought the rooms had lots of space and plenty of storage. There is a shelf under the sinks in the bathroom. And a bench that opens up for extra storage.

What I loved the most was the curtain between the sink area and the main area of the room. Someone could be getting ready in the morning and not disturb the sleeping kids with the lights.

We had a corner room that had 2 windows, so that made it seem even bigger. We were supposed to have a standard view, but we had a great view of the water, so I think we were in a water view.

Have a magical trip!:D
