So as of right now, we are booked at AoA, but if free dining comes out, we will have to change resorts in order to get it. We have it narrowed down between CSR and CBR. Looking at the pictures of the two resorts on allears.net, CSR was way nicer looking, but I've heard so many good things about CBR, that its making me question it.

Thoughts please!!!! :goodvibes

I have stayed at both and prefer CSR by far. It is just a nicer hotel, with a better vibe. Plus, the double beds at CBR really just make it a no go for me!

We've only stayed at CBR and we loved it. We choose our resort mainly by theme/decor and CSR just doesn't appeal to us at all. We loved everything about CBR and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

CSR by far. It's a beautiful and quite resort. It's really close to everything. It has a nice lake to look out over and a beach in Cabanas to relax at. Not to mention the fact that it has concierge now. (9b Cabanas) It has awesome restaurants that provide a different taste than other resorts. CSR has nicer pools too. It rooms are like better than most deluxe rooms. And I'm not really sure why it isn't listed as a deluxe. It has all the amenities. CSR seems friendlier too. CSR just seems superior. :)

We love love love CBR. We've stayed there a few times and have always enjoyed it. Great theming. Nice quiet pools. Love the grounds and walking around there. They are supposed to be refurbing the rooms soon. We visited CSR after my brother stayed there and raved about it. We're not too fond of the theming and food court. Which ever you choose you'll be happy.

I prefer CSR. I like the theme and I prefer the queen beds. :)

We have had much better experiences with food, busses, rooms, CM's, and pools at CBR.

:thumbsup2

CSR just has more of a deluxe feel to it: the queen beds at CSR have duvet covers. I like that MUCH better than the bedspreads. Sliding doors on bathroom instead of a curtain. Health club with sauna for free. Other spa services for a fee. It is so pretty at night. Yes, CSR is spread out, but most of the mods. are. We stayed in Casitas 5. We were right by the first bus stop and the health club. Maybe a 4-5 min. walk to the main pool or food court. The food court and pool are not by each other...that adds to the spread out feel I think. But, there is a QS place at the pool too. Longest slide. Largest hot tub. CSR has been recently renovated. CBR has not. Once they freshen it up with a renovation, I could see staying there again.

We loved CSR. The theme was great and the bus service was incredible our entire stay (I know it can be hit or miss). I like the look of CBR, but until they have queen beds I won't be staying there.

WE loved CSR It was the best room we had (until my mom and dad became DVCM :) ) my DD's loved the pool and the food was great loved the QS it's like a TS other then you go get your food.... my mom and dad told me they hated the CBR my dad told me " you can not pay me to stay at that one again"

Have stayed at both and unless I am offered value rates I won't be going back to CBR. CBR was the first moderate built, CSR the last. They just kept getting it better.

CSR: We call it the "deluxe of the moderates". Three distinctly themed areas surrounding a round 22 acre lake and beautiful pyramid pool. Maybe due to convention work, the pool area always has available lounges and tables and lots of amenities right there. The rooms are beautifully appointed, bath can close off with carved wood doors, queen sized very comfy beds and ceiling fans. Convention means fitness center and other perks. Sit down, upscale food court, cool lounge with some light eats, counter by pool and one of the best food-to-go counters, even better than some deluxe. Best buses and never crowded.

CBR: There is no distinct theme changes other than paint colors to the different areas and it is spread out around an oblong 45 acre lake. Get put at the farther rooms and it is quite a long walk. On our visits there we used our car to leave and eat elsewhere. Last trip we paid extra for Pirate room and not only were we practically in POP Century but other than the cute pirate furniture the decor was disappointing, curtain at bathroom, double beds. It really had nothing more than the value resort room other than square footage and that is not a big deal to me, I don't need more floor, I want a bigger bed.

Personally, we love CSR. It's relaxing, peaceful, and super nice for a moderate resort. Of course, CSR was the first on-property resort we stayed in so there's the sentimentality factor for me but I've always just felt more at peace at CSR. But, I think you'll be happy at either one :)

We have never stayed at CSR yet. We would like to but with a little one we decided on CBR for the splash play area. :goodvibes
My boys loved the pirate rooms sure they were just furniture changes to us adults. But my kids felt it was magical and even fought over which ship(bed) was theirs.:rotfl2:

I've stayed at both and CSR won this poll by a longshot. I truly do love everything about it and found the rooms to be above par as far as Moderate resort rooms go! We had a beautiful room in Ranchos that was very close to the Dig Site but it faced a large grouping of trees. I loved listening to the sounds of wildlife at night and early morning. It was a decent walk (about 10 minutes) to the main building but the scenery was so beautiful that neither I nor my daughter minded it one bit.

I've stayed at Caribbean Beach twice, and stayed at Coronado a few months ago.

Random thoughts on CBR:
- I like the theme of CBR more. It fits more with a Florida vacation. I have a hard time getting into a southwestern theme when I'm not anywhere even close to the southwest.
- The one sink thing in the room at CSR was annoying, I think CBR has a better bathroom area.
- I stayed at CBR before the Finding Nemo renovations and liked the old design better than the current room decor. The decor in the room at CSR was sort of dark and run down (scratches show easily on dark furniture).
- full sized beds. dumb.

Thoughts on CSR:
- If you need to get work done, there is a desk in the room. CBR won't have that.
- More amenities.
- We got the raw end of the deal with our room location, so I feel like my opinion of CSR is jaded. We were soooo far away from the main food area that we never ate there. I've been really lucky with room requests at CBR, staying in Jamaica both trips.
- less bus stops! This is a nice benefit over CBR.

I think I slightly prefer CBR, except for the bed size issue. Honestly you can't go wrong with either one. I think in general, this board favors Coronado Springs over Caribbean Beach.

I have only stayed at CSR so I guess my vote is biased:rotfl2: It is a very beautiful resort. If I decide to stay there again though I would pay for a preferred room. They put us in the boonies, way out in the Ranchos section. Great if you have little ones because it is very close to the main pool but it was just me and my husband. I enjoyed the fitness center and walking around the lake. Also the margaritas there were awesome!
