CBR stay

Well, it looks like we are going to stay @ CBR since I got a great deal on room only.
We haven't stayed there since 2003 so I'm curious on what if anything has changed.
I know they did a refurb and now have queen beds in rooms.
So glad I don't have to bring my coffee maker this time. LOL! (we stayed @ Value last time)
Any advice on staying @ CBR or specific area?

Book preferred. That would be my advice.

Just got back last week. The bridge will be done when you go, so if you stay in Jamaica or Aruba, should be a short walk to OPR. It will not be very crowded when you go, so bus transportation should be fine. Enjoy your stay.

Thanks! I'm pretty excited, I remember it being a beautiful, tropical resort.....which all of the resorts @ WDW are wonderful but CBR seemed a bit more romantic....especially compared to All Stars Sports that we were going to be staying at.

You've made an excellent choice! CBR is our favorite moderate by far, and was even before the room refurb and queen beds. It has such a relaxed laid back atmosphere which is such a nice change from the craziness of the parks. We always feel like we have 2 vacations in one by spending 2 or 3 full days of our trip as resort days.

Our favorite location is Jamaica 45 with Aruba 51 right behind it. Both locations are about 3-4 minute stroll across the bridge to OPR and the Main Feature Pool. We just like Jamaica 45 better because of the bright yellow exterior of the Jamaica buildings.

The new rooms are great. They remind us of some of the nicer resorts in the Caribbean we have stayed before. Someone did their homework when designing them.

One of our favorite things to do is grab a drink and a hammock on the beach to watch the higher fireworks from Illuminations.

We stayed there this summer with a standard room. I requested Martinique and got it and it was an easy walk to Old Port Royale. Our room was renovated and very nice, but it did not have the murphy bed. We enjoyed our stay there a very much. We were close to the Martinique pool and the bus stop.
