On Wednesday I booked our free dining trip at CBR and when the cm asked about room requests he was giving me some options and I said we wanted a king size bed so he put it down as a king size bed. I am going to call up tomorrow to upgrade our FD to DxDP and I wanted to put in another request pertaining to the location but since I have never stayed at CBR I am not sure what to request. We are booked for a preferred room but I just really want to make sure we have a decent view and definitely not one of the pool under construction.

I am thinking maybe something facing one of the beaches or where we could see EPCOT (it was my favorite resort last year). So what should I ask for? Or could I just tell them what I told you guys? :confused3 Last years trip was my first to WDW and we stayed at the WL and had a courtyard view and had no complaints so I am not sure how to go about making room location requests.

TIA

None of the rooms overlook the pool construction. If you paid for preferred then your king is just a request. You can also request a water view but king and water view would not be guaranteed.

Some of the water views are quite creative. You may have to look hard to find the water or you may overlook a quiet pool.

For seeing the fireworks at night from Epcot you can see it from several of the beaches. It is great to lay in a hammock and watch the fireworks.

You might want to take a look at the CBR FAQ thread. The first post has links to the updates on the pool construction.
