CBR room location

I have made reservations for CBR next month and have questions about room requests. I'm not as interested in which village I stay in as I really don't want a parking lot view. (of course I want to do this without paying extra for a water view )

When we stayed at POR a few years ago there were some buildings that were more towards the center of the grounds that didn't have parking lots adjacent to them. Are there buildings at CBR that are the same?

Also when do I fax my request? If I remember right it's just a few days before and I fax it to the hotel itself, is that right?

We have stayed at CBR a few times and our favorite 'island' is Jamaica - we were upgraded to a water view last May in Jamaica, Bldg. 45, corner room with a view. If I am correct, the parking lot was not directly behind our building. It was a minute walk to the pool and a 5 minute (beautiful) walk to the food court.
You should fax over your request 4 days prior to your arrival date directly to CBR and you should include as specific a request as possible - also, it has been said that faxing over at 4:00 pm and later is a great time because usually by then everyone has checked-in and out and your request won't get lost in the shuffle.

We've stayed at CBR twice (and would definitely stay there again). Remember that faxing a room request is not a guarantee. When you check-in let them know that you do not want a parking lot view. Ask for courtyard room and see if they have a choice of rooms. The CMs will go out of their way to accomodate your request. If your not too particular about what village you should have no problem getting what you want.

Both times we stayed in Trinidad South (Buildings #36 and #37). Loved them! Probably the most quiet villages as most want to be closer to the food court. The walk to the food court is nice, relaxing and I'd say under 10 minutes. Most of the time me & the kids would walk and DH would meet us there with the car.

I would recommend calling central reservations and having your requests noted there. More and more resorts are ignoring the faxes.

CBR Villages all have parking lots close to the buildings. Even a parking lot view is not a bad one. There is so much landscaping it is hard to see the parking lot.

I've faxed my requests the past two times I've stayed at CBR and gotten every request- they are really good about it at CBR. -Steph
