CBR Question

Hey.....what is in your opinion the best section to stay in.....not too loud but close to the food court so you don't have to walk a few miles to get a drink....Thanks all!!!!

Many folks like Jamaica. It is across the bridge from the main pool and food court. You might want to read the FAQ's below and you will find many suggestions.

If you don't mind paying an extra charge to be in a "Preferred Location", Martinique building #25 is, in my opinion, an excellent location I have stayed in this building twice and it's very convenient to everything, including the Martinique Bus Stop, the Martinique quiet pool and laundry area, Old Port Royale which has the main pool, shops, restaurants, and arcade.

AND, since this building sits further back from the road (closer to the lake), none of the standard view rooms directly face, or are up against, the parking lot. Instead, they face "courtyards" with flowers, trees, shrubs, and some areas even have sitting areas with benches.

But if you don't want to pay extra for the location, then I agree with safetymom regarding Jamaica

Jamaica-it is a short walk over the bridge to food court but still far enough to be quiet.

I agree that a preferred village is worth the money. I don't think having a room that faces the parking lot is bad. There is so much landscaping that you can hardly see the cars. Especially if you are sitting down in your room.

Most of the buildings at CBR have *very* decent "views", but I do remember seeing a building or two that were almost right up against the sidewalk and parking lot. Wish I could remember the specific locations, but I can't. I do know that I saw it while staying at Martinique, and while standing at the bus stop, facing towards the resort, it was to my right. And I saw the same thing on the other side of the resort too. If someone had their car with them and used it to get around, they might actually like a location where their car was so close to their room

Go with Jamaica. When we stayed there it was quiet, not crowded, and not far from the food court.

Another vote for Jamaica. A quick walk over the bridge brings you right to OPR. However, Jamaica is far enough back (but not too far) to give you the peace & quiet you're looking for.

Martinique and Aruba(across the foot bridge) are both goog choices.

If you look on the first page of the CBR FAQ II listed below it will tell you the preferred buildings. It costs $15 extra nightly for these villages. Trinidad North and Martinique have preferred buildings in their village. The first post lists the building numbers.

We stayed in Jamaica last April, it was great. Every morning I would walk to the FC for coffee which probably took 2 minutes each way. I can't remember our room number but we were close to the bridge. I would ask for a room facing the water. Even if you don't get that the resort is beautiful. Rooms facing the parking lot....it's not like your going to be looking a big blacktop lot. With all of the landscaping even the rooms facing the PL are nicely screened.

I recently stayed in Trinidad North, Building 33. It is a preferred location because of its proximity to Old Port Royale, but is the farthest from OPR of the 3 buildings in the village. Noisy? I don't know if there is such a thing as a noisy building at CBR. I've stayed at Trnindad North and Aruba, and I didn't notice a difference in noise level. I can't imagine ANY of the buildings are close enough to OPR to have noise problems.

In Trinidad North 33, we were the closest building to the bus stop (and I think in Room 3340 we were about the closest ROOM to the bus stop), and we never heard any bothersome people or traffic noises.
