CBR, POR, or POP? Also, how is everything booked up for 10/18?

So, we are trying to figure out what we want to do for our Oct 2018 visit. We are trying to choose between CBR, POR, and POP. I would prefer, and I think my parents would too, the CBR. Problem is we don't know what kind of construction will still be going on then. I don't mind some construction b/c we are going to be spending our time in the park mostly, but I just don't want to look out the window and see a muddy hole or something. We also like to come back and do mid-day naps if we are exhausted. Even though I sleep with ear plugs I cannot handle drilling or hammer sounds. If you have experienced the construction, how bad was it?

On a second note, I've been trying to do my research on Disneyworld.com and half of the resorts tell me there is nothing available for 3 or 5 people(if my parents come) from Oct 5-12....already? Didn't they just release the dates? What am I missing?

If you struggle with drilling and hammering sounds, you should avoid CBR. Nothing recommends POP, IMO, so I would vote for POR.

in terms of the online availability so far out, the site has been a hot mess for a couple weeks now. You might try calling.

So, it was bad when you were there?

I love all three for different reasons but right now I would totally pick POR. CBR is a mess with construction... And with five people, you'd have to get two rooms at Pop.

It was bad when i was there...and it wasn't officially under construction yet....YMMV
Noisy or was everything torn apart? Did it ruin the experience? I really want CBR, but not if it going to just ruin everything. My daughter loves Pirates of the Caribbean, so we wanted a Pirate room. but we may do the Royal Guest room at POR if CBR is out.

CBR will likely even have cranes by then ........... I'd vote no.

Pirate rooms are far from everything, not normal beds (double bunk like mattresses) and BROWN, everywhere.

POR is a lovely resort, as far as we know zero construction coming up.

POP rooms will be BRAND NEW rooms with queen beds and nice bathrooms and much cheaper.

It would take a miracle to get me to EVER stay at CBR again. While still under construction??? No way in H*&$ would I stay there. Even for free. Again, YMMV.

If a themey room is very important to you, you could consider a royal room at POR or maybe a family suite at AOA?

I would do POR for sure. CBR is our least favorite mod, mostly because we had terrible bus service while we were there. We don't do POP because we won't stay somewhere with double beds. POR is a really pretty resort, plus you can walk over to POFQ to use the pool, food court, etc. there.

By then Pop will have 1 queen and 1 double I believe. They are currently renovating.

Both beds will be queen. The main queen bed (on a wooden platform) and the murphy bed that pulls down over the little table.

I've been trying to see when the CSR construction is supposed to be over but can't find it. Does anyone know?

Aside from room renovation.

It has barely started.

They have demolished the buildings.

They have put in the temporary bridge across the lake so they can close the walkways between Cabanas and main hub.

Next will be the construction will involve a 15 story hotel with top floor restaurant, floating gardens, changes in parking and entry. I don't even think permits have started for that to now actual end dates. Once that building/lobby are operational they will begin to restructure El Centro because you will no longer check in there. It's a big project.

Oh awesome, good to know. I only read about the murphy bed being queen. With such small rooms it will be interesting to see how it feels with bigger beds in there. I assume that's why they made one a murphy bed though.
