Since I wasn't able to find out much ahead of time how ordering pizza worked with the DDP, I figured I'd report on my experience.

We stayed at CBR, where the food court has a pizza place. First of all, I'll point out that the kids meal is a cheese pita pizza, not the regular style pizza. I was annoyed about that at first, but it turned out, the kids liked the pita pizza, go figure. :confused3

Secondly, we had wanted to order pizza for the kids for our date night. Unfortunately, that uses 2 adult TS. Plus, the other things I found out - you have to order it from your room phone (not a cell phone from, say, the pool.) And, they can't guarantee how long it will take, but you need to be in the room to receive it.

BUT - if you walk over to the food court, you can get the exact same pizza for 2 CS credits! It also comes with drinks (iirc) and 2 desserts of your choice from the Grab-n-go. (I highly recommend the oatmeal cookies, btw.) They will give you a big bag for all the sides, too. I got a little buzzer while they made my pizza, and by the time I picked out my sides and paid, I had only about another minute to wait.

This ended up working out perfectly, esp. since we had snacked through lunch at MGM that day in order to watch the shows we wanted. And then dh and I got to go out to Wolfgang Puck Cafe for dinner - we did end up wasting a couple kid TS credits, but I'm not too concerned about that.

You had an ah hah moment too with the pizza, ours was with the Uncrustable PB&J. :confused3 I think we adults are more squeamish about the kids menu than the kids. We trust Disney's marketing to entertain our families, but for some reason we think they get it wrong for their meals. So not the case for us!

By the way he loved the CBR pizza though he ate the adult stuff. I ordered the combo meal and he ate the pizza and I had the side salad. The salad was actually really good and I didn't even add dressing.

I wonder if this would work at POP? Also, I am going alone with DD3 and DD6 - so I can't get 2 adult CS meals (legally) - Do you think they would let me get the pizza at all?

If you explain what you were doing I'm sure they'd work with you. You are not getting anything extra, just choosing to use two credits at once. Also since those credits are still pooled it may not be an issue at all. If you wanted to use 2A CS for that to feed the kids AND use a 3rd A CS to get a meal for yourself they may balk, but if you got that meal only or that an a kids meal I don't see an issue. That would be like discriminating against a single parent and Disney really isn't in the business of doing that.

Thats a great tip! I am officially filing that little tidbit away in my memory banks! thanks for reporting back on that!

Glad this report is helpful! I was sooo confused going in, and my kids are pizza nuts, so I knew ordering pizza one night would be a definite plan. Plus, they get restless after too many restaurant meals.

And as for POP - you can never guarantee it will work the same, but it's certainly worth starting with the idea of trying it.
