CBR or POR? Opinions wanted!

Large spread out resort with lots of stops (although I know for awhile they had two bus runs). Big enough for an internal bus to get to main hub. Anyway, by time the buses moved about, loaded etc and actually got out of the resort ........... we could already be parked at the park heading in. It simply took way too long to get anywhere, and again coming back.

I liked CBR, but my DD and DSIL refused to ever go back based on the bus travel. That is one huge resort.

Personally, given that bus transportation seems to be your prime concern, I would choose POR. It has the water taxi, which is the best service ever, IMO. Whe I choose a resort, I choose based on theme and cost, and amenities that I woudl use. I love SHutters at CBR< and I really liked the beaches. I will say that the Marketplace was loud, LOUD< and kind of chaotic. Plenty of seating.

POR has Boatwrights and entertainment, cannot go wrong there.

POR! CBR was one of our worst experiences ever and what drove us to try Bonnet Creek across the road! POR is still big but less stops and the rooms were nicer. We also liked the boat service to Disney Springs.

Another vote for POR! CBR sits in last place as far as moderate goes for us.

I have not stayed at CBR but we have POR. I did get a little upset with the bus transportation on the way back from the parks taking awhile to get back to our room. It was not so bad that I refuse to go back though. I don't recall having any complaints for on the way to the parks though. It is a beautiful resort and we loved the boat ride to DS. The food court was one of the best I have been to.

The buses are the buses, you are going to have good and bad service no matter where you stay so I'd take them out of the picture. I've stayed at both resorts and enjoyed both of them. Both have multiple bus stops. Both have pretty good pools and pretty active food courts. Both have rooms close to the pools and Food courts that are not preferred. You can't go wrong with either. I think I'd pick whichever one was less. If you enjoy DS, you do have boat service from POR so that might be a plus for it.

This is a no brainer for us, POR. We've stayed at both and would never go back to CBR. Too big, not very Disney-ish, and felt like a motel along a highway. Have stayed several times at POR and always liked it very much. Good bus service, relaxing, and the exact opposite of what I said about CBR.

My vote would be CBR. I've stayed at both. POR 1x and CBR at least 4x. For some reason the air seemed heavier at POR and affected both of us with asthma. Also there were some tiny bugs that would attack my ankles at the bus stop every time I was there. The bites took weeks to stop itching. It was the only time I have ever been bitten by bus at WDW in 12+ visits. We had 3 adults and 1 child the visit to POR and none of us want to go back. We usually go in early June. We love CBR and the bus has never really been an issue. The boat from POR was nice but not a deal breaker.
