So I need some help from everyone. DH and I are planning a trip for the end of July before we have to get back into the swing of things with school. (We are both teachers.) We live in South Florida, so we are familiar with the heat. We, however, have never been to the parks during the summer and often try to avoid them. This year we decided we want to go to just get away and want to take it slow. We are trying to decide between CBR and CSR. We both have stayed at CSR, but my DH stayed at CBR 13 years old on his Senior Trip (he doesn't remember it that much). So far hear are our pros (blue) and cons (red):

CBR: Pool: Main and Kids; Never Stayed thereDouble Size Beds
CSR: Queen Beds; Pepper Market; GymPool: doesn't seem fun for a 2 yeard old

Please tell me anything about these resorts, escepially since we will be having out 2 year old along with us.

We never stayed at CSR, just visited and it's a pretty resort. We've stayed at CBR 4 times and will be the 5th time in July. We love everything about this resort! Yes, I wish they had queen beds but it doesn't stop us from staying there. People have talked about how big and spread out this resort is, but it doesn't bother us. The pool is awesome! Your 2 year old will love the kiddie pool! The main pool is big with a zero entry. We were there before they renovated the pool and they did such a great job! I wish my kids were young enough to use the kiddie pool. (They are 18 and 13.) They also have pools on each island. We've only stayed on Jamaica and love that area. Only a short walk over the bridge to the main pool and food court. I also love the food court and the gift shop. It's a beautiful resort! Everyone has there favorites, this is our favorite!

We stayed at CBR before pool Reno but is is a pretty resort. I loved time on the beach hammocks!
But our fav mod is POR, with POFQ a close second. Rooms have been recently refurbed, boat to DTD, fun family entertainment in the evening, horse & carriage rides, great food court. We prefer the mansion section.

I've stayed at both. I think b/c of the age of your son I would pick CBR but get a preferred room close to the food court and pools. It is too spread out. I would have liked it a lot more had we had a preferred room.

Thanks everyone! I decided this morning to go with CSR. Now, the planning has begun. I started making ADRs and looking at the park hours schedules. This is the best part now.

I'm a little late since you already decided, but we have also stayed at both.

We like them both like you for different reasons. As far as the pool thing goes, we stayed at CSR when my son was 2. He had lots of fun in the kiddie pool area, while it's not as busy as the kiddie pool at CBR it was fine. Here's a picture:

Thanks. One of the main reasons I decided to choose CSR was because of the kiddie pool for my daugther. After discussing some things with my DH, we both thought it would be better. The kid's pool at CBR looks awesome, but I am afraid that my daughter would find the bucket that pours water down a bit scary. She is going through a phase right now, where she doesn't like us to pour water on her head in the bath. I know it's just a phase and she'll probably be over it by then, but I'd rather be safe than sorry. Also, I like the fact that they have a gym. I'm trying to lose all the baby weight I've gained and am determined to lose it, so this well allow me to still work out while on vacation. I know, we'll be walking around a lot but I want to make sure to keep up my regement.
