Travelling to Disney Nov. 2 - 9, with DH, DS - 2, DS - 6 and myself. We currently have a reservation at CBR, but I am now questioning my decision to stay there and if we should stay at ASM. I personally prefer the moderates over the all stars, but now am thinking that the boys may like the ASM resort better, with all the theming geared to Toy Story.

Any opinions? Thanks in advance!

My kids are older (8 & 10) and we are going to CBR this weekend (very HOT!). Originally we were booked at ASMo. We decided to switch for the following reasons:

Neither of the kids liked the idea of staying at a resort without a water slide (none of the AS resorts have pool slides). My DD was VERY opposed to the idea!

I liked the idea of a larger room (340 sq ft vs. 260 sq. ft) and two sinks (one for each kid ;) )

Finally, we WILL be spending time at the resort (we're only going to BB on Saturday, no other parks) so CBR had more amenities - bikes, water mice, etc. for us to use.

It was $33 more to upgrade to CBR for the 2 nights, I think it's be worth it. I'll let you know on Monday!

Are your kids old enough to go down the slide by themselves? Can you split your stay? This way you can experience both resorts. We are staying at CBR for 3 nights (for me) and then switch to ASSports for 3 nights (for my DD 4 and DS 6). So we just compromise. My son said that he really liked the football section at the ASSports and he wants to play there with her sister. This trip is also their trip...so we compromised...now we are all happy! :)

If you've never stayed at the AS, I would give it a try!

We stayed there last Jan and then at CBR in May. We paid $49 for ASMo and $84 for CBR. To me, the price difference was not justified.

I did love the room at CBR. Largest of the mods (I believe). The rooms are recently refurbished and have lots of storage.

I didn't use any of the extra amenities, though.

Never used:
The pool slide or hot tub. The pool slide is definitely for the under 10 set! I went down it once to say I used it.
The sit-down restaurant.
The marina
the hammocks (they were BURNING HOT!)-even with a towel.
The hairdryer, iron or coffeemaker.

I did like CBR very much, but the ASMo had eveything we needed and the theme was adorable.
