CBR location and views question

We stayed in CBR this past July and loved it! The only thing that would have been better would have been to have a water view. You can pay extra for a preferred location (we were in Trinidad North)...or you can pay extra for a water view (at another island)...BUT is there any way to guarantee (with extra $ of course) a water view at a preferred location (such as TNorth)?

Personally I think the water view is overrated. I have done it more than a few times. Twice I paid for it, the other times it was a free upgrade.

Sometimes their description of a water view is hard to believe. You may have to strain to see it from your room. Also since you don't have a private balcony its hard to see the water from your room.

For the money I would put it towards some dinners at WDW.
