hi all,
carribean beach resort water view,is a view of the lake,right?someone said its the pool.my chioce is standard or water view,which would you chose and why.thank you all for your help.

Water view can mean a view of the water or pools. If you want aview of "Barefoot Bay" you should request that specifcally otherwise you may get a view of a pool.

Personally I don't think a waterview is worth the money. It is hard to see the lake or the pool from your room. I do think paying for a preferred location is worth the money.

Some of the views from a water view room are quite creative.

We stayed at CBR last week and had booked a king room. We really didn't care for the location (in the middle of Aruba) so we asked to be changed. They gave us a "water view" room which is the same price as a king since there were no more kings available. Well.....the only water we viewed was in the shower. The bushes are so tall there was no way we were seeing water!!!!

You'll love CBR, but if you're going to pay extra, you might as well pay extra to be in a preferred location (areas in Martinique or Trinidad North close to Port Old Royale) -- I wouldn't pay for the water view.

On the other hand, some of the standard rooms can still offer you a beautiful view, as the whole resort is beautiful. As Safetymom has commented numerous times in the FAQ's for CBR, you probably won't spend much time looking out your window anyway.

Some of the best views come from sitting in a chair or lying on a hammock on a beach close to your room, or from walking the Promenade around the resort. Regardless, you'll have a great time.
