Cbr Dirty Bedspreads/ Hole In Sheets...

Just got back from a quick trip to MK...stayed at the CBR...


Loved the hotel everything was beautiful!! Loved the internal shuttle...saw the pool (too cold to go swimming) good food court nice gift shops ....great laundry areas.....fRIGE IN ROOM

Stayed at Trinidad South.....room 3755 carpets are looking worn and furniture too. One of the bedspread had a foot print on the inside half. The bed sheet actually had a hole..

BUT THE MORAL OF THE STORY IS ......I GOT TO GO AND STAY AT A NICER HOTEL THAN MY RELATIVES WHO WERE TRAVELING WITH ME AND THEY WERE PAYING AS MUCH FOR THERE ROOM AS I. When they saw where we were staying ....all hell broke loose...

They stayed at the Howard Johnson in Kissimmee....Oh boy booked on Hotels .com.....Yuck!!!! HOJO West Maingate.....Don't go there EVER!

Thanks for the review...I'm a little concerned with the comments about your room. We're staying there for the first time in May and I thought all the rooms had just been refurbished not terribly long ago.

I still don't understand why they don't put more money and time into fixing up and maintaining what they already have. They always seem so focused on building something new without taking care of the old. You have to put money into something before you get any money out of it. CBR has always been a nice resort and we use to love to stay there but I have heard one to many horror stories lately that make think twice about going back there.

Yes, I agree. They're first priority should be maintenance of existing resorts.

Im at CBR from 28th April to 12th may and Im really concered about some of the threads ive been reading to do with this hotel.

Looks to me like this dirty bedspread/ holey sheets somehow slipped through the cracks-- I think it's time it they got thrown away for new ones!

Did you call and let them know? I wonder if those will just stay there until someone alerts them?? The housekeepers might not even pay attention to those things (not defending them-- they should!!!)

It happened to us at the AKL in Dec. The sheets were clean, but near the top sheet on one bed there was an 8 inch hole. It was easy to see since the blanket could be seen through it. And on the other bed, the bottom sheet had a bunch of 1 inch slits. I could see over-looking this one but not the 8 inch hole. Since it was around 11:30 PM, I altered mousekeeping. They offered to change the sheets but my daughter was already asleep and we had an early check-out the next day. Glad the sheet were clean. I did talk to the front desk manager in the morning too just as a heads-up. He offered me a few things, which I thank him for, but declined since I was running out the door to the airport. He did refund 50% of that last night. We plan to return to AKL this Dec to AKL. So it can happen elsewhere too, even though I wish it didn't.

That is exactly how it looked when we went last February (04) The room was dirty, there were stains on the carpet, the sheets and bedspread smeeled like mold, and when we turned the heater on it smelled like wet dog!!! I couldn't believe it!! I will NEVER go back to CBR!!! I rather stay at POP or the All Stars.

We stayed at the AKL last fall for one night prior to going over the the YC and our room there needed help. There were stains in the carpet, the room not overly clean and the bedding needed to be replaced. Our sheet had a hole in it. The AC in our room didn't work properly and maintence couldn't fix it, they gave us a table fan! I was quite surprised at the condition of the room (it was savanah view) considering they term this a deluxe resort. When we checked out the next day we were very excited to get back over to the YC.

Don't feel bad - this happened to us at the GF. The holes in the sheets were the least of our problems with housekeeping and the upkeep of the room. Check out my signature - you'll see an abrupt change in resorts.

Not only our carpet was stained-but not too bad, (our stay there was just last year in June and it was the renovated room) it was wet too due to the aircondition, the water was leaking. How could the housekeeper not know how wet the carpet is. So of course... the smell was bad. And of course to top it off, the roaches love the damp carpet, it was crawling on the floor.

And..that is exactly why I don't think I would ever go back to this resort. Stayed there twice and both times my experience there was not so good.

I'm sorry to hear about that. We stayed at CBR when it was newly refurbished and really liked it. We haven't been back since just because we have been checking out other Disney resorts. I agree that maintaining things is very important!
