CBR and POR rooms for 5 - hard to get?

Is it hard to get the 5-person rooms at CBR and POR if you're only a group of 4? If I book a preferred room, do I have a better chance of getting one? Or if I list that as our only request? Our older son is so tall, it's just not comfortable for him to share with his younger brother any longer.

I'm also going to look at the AS-Music family suites, and FW Cabins.

If you book a preferred room at POR, that guarantees you getting an Alligator Bayou room, which is where all the rooms with the Murphy bed are.

How tall is your youngest? The fold downs in POR and CBR are not a whole lot larger than a crib mattress.

The map of the room layout says it's 63" long. He's just shy of 5' (probably 59"?) so I think he'll be OK. He's a pretty adaptable kid, so I think as long as he has a bed to himself he'll be happy.

I was at POR about 3 weeks ago. I had booked and payed for preferred room. They tried to put me in building 80. They said that they had overbooked. Not my issue. I stood my ground. It took quite a while to check in after I got to the counter. But I got building 14. So, if this happens to you - Stand your ground.

Thanks for the advice. Yes, I will definitely make sure I get what I pay for. And I'll make a note of what the preferred room buildings are so I know.

Building 80 is a downgrade. Yes, it's a mansion, but still. Building 90 and 95 would be the Royals, which would technically be an upgrade.
