CBR and Beaches

What is the reasoning for not allowing guest to play in the waters at the beache?

If you do a search you can find the thread from last week or so but basically because there is an amoeba that lives in the fresh waters that can cause problems in addition to all the wildlife swimming around the water can't be in too great a shape.

Hi fellow Kentuckian! There's alligators in the lakes and waterways at WDW!

There's snapping turtles in those waters too. Watch your toes!

The water is so dark and creepy looking, I won't want to swim in it even if it was permitted!But I still like that resort and plan on staying there for the 4th time on our next trip.
