We are going to be a party of 6 adults and 1 baby for our trip in August. Right now we have 3 rooms booked at CBR. I've thought of changing to a 2 bedroom villa, but only if there are codes or discounts offered (which I know is rare). I've thought about renting points, but the cost seemed to be almost the same as rack rate. The week we want to go is 350 points at BCV and WLV and at $10 per point, that didn't beat rack rate by much. So if there are codes or discounts, then I think I'll go with the 2 bdr. BUT I'd love to hear people's experiences with the villas and with 3 separate rooms at a moderate (or any resort really). Thanks.

BTW, I know I'd love OKW, but I'm concerned about its location. All the other villas seem to be right in the middle of the action......so if we go with a villa I'd prefer to be near MK or Epcot. Does that make sense?

Actually, OKW is pretty close to Epcot, but very close to Downtown Disney.

We LOVED OKW!!

We rented points from a DVC member (off these boards). Remember, you can negotiate the amount you pay per point, sometimes to around $8.00 per point! Don't give up.

I love the 2 bedroom villas at OKW. I don't think there is anything better on Disney property. :) I don't think they feel far away, actually I think the bus rides were faster at OKW than at CBR.

The main difference you'll find is that OKW feels like a resort and CBR feels more like a hotel. (that's just my opinion folks) But I think you'll enjoy your stay at either place. :)

With 6 adults, I would go for OKW, the rooms are much larger. You'll have a king bed in the main bedroom, 2 queens in the second bedroom and a queen sleeper sofa in the living room. With the exception of some dedicated units at VWL & BCV, the other DVC resorts have 1 queen & 1 queen sleeper sofa in the second bedroom. You may want to look at paying cash for the 2 weekend nights and renting points for the weeknights. Weeknights are 40 points vs 75 for weekends at VWL/BCV. At OKW it's 30/73, 296 for the week. Depending on the mix of the group, 3 rooms at CBR would give more privacy to each adult but you would lose the kitchen/living room area, washer & dryer in the room.

Hi scanne,

I like the idea of the 2 bedroom villa!
they do offer discounts on them, I booked a 2 bedroom Villa (at WLV) for a client with a discount, and they are going in peak season!

The question is.... how much privacy do you want???

we are taking my Mom and Dad in 2 and 1/2 yrs, and I think we'll get a 2 bedroom, it will be fun!

Laura :)
