The Cast
Me - always dreamed of going to Disney but never thought it would happen.
DH - his worst nightmare has finally arrived he's going to Disney.

No breakfast today as neither of us was hungry, so after making a cup of tea we head to the trolley stop on our way to sea world to get the bus for Disney. There were quite a few of us waiting for the bus when a people carrier pulls up, to be honest I didn't take much notice of it until the driver gets out to talk to us. He wanted to know if we were going to MK as he would take us all for $2 each. Dh tells him yes and calls me over to get on the bus, the others at the stop look at him like he is mad and I am beginning to wonder if he hit his head on the plane coming over as all of a sudden he wants to go on wild rides and now is getting in a car with a stranger. :confused3 When we get in he tells me that it is a taxi he seen it on the side when he pulled up, and then the others started to pile in much to my relief (although I soon realise that this is quite common practice).

We are soon through the gates at Disney and I can't take the grin off my face, what I didn't realise is that you still have 3 miles or so to get to Mk and that is only the transportation depot. Our driver offers to pick us up at 5 o'clock and take us back to our hotel but he wanted us to phone him first  great if you have a phone. Soon we are on the monorail and on our way to MK. I don't think I shall ever forget walking down main street for the first time it truly is magical. Cinderellabration was being performed so we stayed to watch a bit of it but soon dh wanted to go and look around. :wizard: We made our way to It's a small world and queued to go on although it was only 15 minutes which was not bad. I really enjoyed this and I think dh did too he just didn't want to admit it. :rotfl: We then found ourselves at the haunted mansion and queued another 20 minutes to get in, it was a fun ride but I think that dh thought it might be a bit more scary. From there we found the liberty bell and so got on for the ride and to give our feet a rest. It was good to do but I don't think either of us would be in a rush to do it again.

Decided to stop for something to eat and not sure where to go we came across a hot dog stand so we both had hot dog and chips and I found it amusing when the chips turned out to be a bag of crisps - poor dh "who eats crisps with hot dogs" he kept muttering while we found somewhere to sit, maybe breakfast would have been a good idea after all. :rolleyes1

After resting we make our way over to splash mountain where the queue is over an hour (much to my relief) but dh decides we should get a fast pass :scared: I get the passes and they are for an hour an a half yet so we make our way over to thunder mountain. I really like the look of this and in my Disney leaflet I remember them describing it as wild but mild so I really didn't mind queueing for 45 minutes. I remembered reading something about either being in the very front or very back for a better ride if you don't like speed, well it didn't matter because she put us right on the back seats and off we went. Boy was this ride fast and rough, I must have deafened the people in front and when I got off I felt battered but even worse if this ride was mild what was in store for me on splash mountain. :scared: We came off and both agreed we wouldn't be rushing back on and we found ourselves at the jungle cruise, we still had just under half an hour before our fast pass so decided to wait the 20 minutes to go on the cruise. I don't remember much about this only that my mouth was dry with fear for splash mountain. I tried laughing at the jokes but then they were bad anyway. We get off the jungle cruise and dh says he is tired, I tell him we could leave splash mountain and go back to the hotel, he declined my kind offer. :rolleyes1

So this is it; splash mountain verses Cazzies nerves. :rotfl: To make it worse there are exits all the way, I point these out to dh saying if he has changed his mind you can get out here, but something tells me dh can smell my fear and is revelling in it :p we get seated in what seems like seconds and I smile sweetly at dh whilst wondering which poison will hurt him most. I have to admit that it really is a must see although I can't remember much about it other than everytime we started to go down I thought is this it? infact I found it less fearsome than journey to atlantis and we both would have got back on had it not been for the queue, dh wanders off muttering women under his breath after telling him I thought it was great. :rotfl2: We went to the wall at the end of the drop and got soaked and by now we were both shattered so we decided to head back to the hotel, we would be coming back again to MK.

We got off the trolley just after 6 o'clock tired and hungry we decided to eat in our room tonight and chill so we stopped off at Wendys for a takeaway. So far I hadn't been impressed with the food and this was nothing special but too tired to worry we kicked off our shoes and headed to the beds to watch tv. At 9pm we decided to go and walk down to Walgreens where we purchased some fruit and hair mousse and then headed back to write the postcards home.

..... and so to bed to dream of princess'es and castles being chased by runaway trains.

Tomrrow day five - who did take my rubber ring?

I am glad you enjoyed your day at the Magic Kingdom, Splash is my favourite ride. I hope you managed to go on it again and take in more of the ride details. I know what it is like to be nervous on rides. :)
