Saturday 12th April

Alarm went of at 6.45am :scared1: and we were in breakfast by just after 7am ... much quieter at this time, although there were already quite a few families already eating their breakfast. Quickly ate our breakfast and had a few strong cups of coffee to wake us up - by 7.30am we were waiting for the bus ..... it was very quiet waiting as the photos show ...

We arrived in the park and were let into the Park bang on 8am .. DD was the first into the park ! We walked up Main Street a family ran ahead of us .. but apart from that it was deserted (quite a few peeps behind us though).

<a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y152/Cazgal/?action=view&current=EuroDisney2008190.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y152/Cazgal/EuroDisney2008190.jpg" border="0" alt="MS"></a>

We stopped to get a great shot of the Castle without the crowds ...

<a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y152/Cazgal/?action=view&current=EuroDisney2008193.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y152/Cazgal/EuroDisney2008193.jpg" border="0" alt="castle emh1"></a>

<a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y152/Cazgal/?action=view&current=EuroDisney2008192.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y152/Cazgal/EuroDisney2008192.jpg" border="0" alt="Castle emh"></a>

Used the EMH well and rode Peter Pan, Pinnochio, The Teacups, Dumbo and the Carousel in quick succession (some 2 or 3 times as the queues were non existent at this point).

<a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y152/Cazgal/?action=view&current=EuroDisney2008194.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y152/Cazgal/EuroDisney2008194.jpg" border="0" alt="caros"></a>

By 9am we were in Discoveryland for Buzz (4 goes) and Space Mountain (2 goes each using baby Switch) .. DD was very patient with us while we "played" and enjoyed watching the smoke come out at the beginning of each ride.

<a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y152/Cazgal/?action=view&current=EuroDisney2008208.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y152/Cazgal/EuroDisney2008208.jpg" border="0" alt="sm and nug"></a>

By this time it was getting close to offical opening so we headed back into fantasyland to wait for the SnowWhite ride - the only one we hadn't done. Annoyingly at 5 mins past 10, one of the CM came and told the queue that the ride was not working .. I am sure they could have told us earlier than this  and stopped us wasting our time ! This was really the only annopying thing of the whiole trip - which I guess isn't too bad.

The crowds had by now really started to build up (and it was obviously much busier now than it had been during our time at the parks - DD wanted to do Alices' Maze - which is quite a good idea as there is no real queue for this ... it was good fun too. We then headed over to IaSW (DD fave ride I think).

We then spend a little more time in the castle before wandering over to the PotC as this was showing a wait time of only 5 mins on the Info Board (a very handy and useful place to check out ride times). It was infact a walk on - and we all enjoyed this ride again .... it is themed so very well. Next trip we shall have to eat in the Blue lagoon me thinks !

By now it was time to head across to the Lucky Nugget for our 12 noon booking .... we were all getting quiet tired by this time so this was a welcome sit down. The buffet was very good and again the character interaction was brilliant.

<a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y152/Cazgal/?action=view&current=EuroDisney2008160.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y152/Cazgal/EuroDisney2008160.jpg" border="0" alt="LN"></a>

I had a dance with Baloo which he seemed to enjoy and kept coming back for another boogey! My DH and DD were laughing so much they forgot to take a photo (but we have a little on video). Embarassing Mum moment I am afraid !

<a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y152/Cazgal/?action=view&current=EuroDisney2008232.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y152/Cazgal/EuroDisney2008232.jpg" border="0" alt="Baloo"></a>

DD was elated when she got a autograph from both Minnie and Mickey. Even more so when Minnie notcied her toy Pluto and made a big fuss of him.

<a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y152/Cazgal/?action=view&current=EuroDisney2008225.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y152/Cazgal/EuroDisney2008225.jpg" border="0" alt="MM ans MM"></a>

<a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y152/Cazgal/?action=view&current=EuroDisney2008227.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y152/Cazgal/EuroDisney2008227.jpg" border="0" alt="MM and MM 2"></a>

<a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y152/Cazgal/?action=view&current=EuroDisney2008242.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y152/Cazgal/EuroDisney2008242.jpg" border="0" alt="minnie and pluto toy"></a>

Radcliffe was superb .... very snooty and rude (but very very funny). Some boys who were waiting by the entrance but that did not come in when he beckoned them (I am not sure if they were with parents or were just watching the characters) - so he waved them away and "dismissed" them from the restaurant. He then "helped" a lady choose her deserts from the pudding trolley - very funny to watch .. before having a little boogey on the stage with the band. He seemed to really enjoy playing the character and really made our meal.

<a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y152/Cazgal/?action=view&current=EuroDisney2008229.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y152/Cazgal/EuroDisney2008229.jpg" border="0" alt="Radcliffe"></a>

After we had eaten we had a amble through the park. We had planned to see tarzan, but our DD was completely shattered and almost asleep on her feet so e decided to call it a day (rather than pushing it too far and ending our trip all tried out frazzled wrecks). We headed back to the Hotel via a few shops and finished packing the car ...

<a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y152/Cazgal/?action=view&current=EuroDisney2008255.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y152/Cazgal/EuroDisney2008255.jpg" border="0" alt="home"></a>

We set off at around 4pm .. tried to find a local petrol station for cheap fuel but couldn't :headache: so filled up on the main road .... trip was easy back again - DD and I fell asleep for most of it.

Managed to have some time in the Cite Europe and bought a few bottles of wine, which made DH very happy. :goodvibes . Next time we will have to take a list of shops with what they sell as we only went into Tescos - there must be other wine shops in Cite Europe but we were all too tired to bother with walking around looking for them. Luckily we were able to get an earlier EuroTunnel train home ... and then drove from Folkestone to Derby .. well DH did !

A long drive back but not too hard going - arrived home at around 12 midnight - all shattered but very very happy.

All in all in was agreattrip, made so much better by all your tips, tricks and advice throughout the months before we went. It was really appreciated guys and made our trip even better - so thanks to all of you !

Fantastic ending to your trip!

Looks very peaceful at the bus stop that morning, guess you didn't have to fight others. Love that you were able to get your photos in a mostly empty park. Did you notice any professional photographers about?

Too bad daughter didn't want to brave Space Mountain but awesome that you and husband had your chances!

Lucky Nuggett looks fantastic. did you enjoy the food here or Cafe Mickey more?

glad you had a safe trip home.

Sigh! I loved reading your trippies Cazgal :cloud9: .

All you wonderful peeps who have posted trippies in the last week or so have got me all excited about our upcoming trip!!

Elaine

Lovely report. If we go to Cite Europe we go in Carrefour, so as well as wine we can get things like fritesauce and lovely flavoured mayonnaise you can't get over here (like lemon and fennel :goodvibes ), different salamis (DS(8)'s fave) and things like kir for 1/3 of the price at home - we tend to buy that and Leffe as the wine often doesn't work out much cheaper unless they have a particularly good offer. Auchan in Calais has a better wine selection, and has Sainsbury's nearby if you want to get stuff there :thumbsup2 (its only a few minutes from the tunnel so unless you're tight for time its a good place to stop, and the eateries are less busy).

I've really enjoyed reading your reports. :) I especially love the photo of you with your "Lucky Nugget" sat on the bench with The Lucky Nugget in the background!

And how lucky were you to get Mickey and Minnie at the same time for photos!! :thumbsup2

You have a family that have a joy for the parks and Disney.
We've loved being part of your trip :goodvibes

We'll definitely have to stop off at Cite Europe.

Thanks for all the nice comments ... doesn;t seem like a two weeks ago we were there !

I so want to go back :)
