anyone ever been to Grand Cayman? Planning a trip for late Feb, thinking about staying at a resort right along Seven Mile Beach.

I've been to Grand Cayman twice on a cruise ship, so I don't know about hotels. Both times I went to the stingray sandbar - don't miss it!

Have made numerous trips, daughter married there last year and have family there.. What kind of info do you need and I'll try my best to help?

Swimming with the stingrays is awesome:thumbsup2!!! A definite "do not miss"! Some of them are absolutely HUGE!

We went by cruise ship also. It has the bluest water of anywhere I've ever been. It was gorgeous!

Yes, I was there in 2007. We stayed at the Grand Caymanian (via a DVC trade) and LOVED it even though it wasn't on Seven Mile Beach. I agree with wdwmom2 that swimming with the stingrays is awesome. We also did a submarine tour of the bottom of the sea. I'd love to go back sometime. :)

I also have been there twice with the cruise ships. The stingray swim is a MUST do!

We've ben there 4 times, staying in everything from cheap hotels to private condos to The Ritz Carlton (all on 7 Mile Beach). It's gorgeous and we have always felt very safe there, even walking the streets of 7 Mile Beach at night. Lots to do - Stingray City, Turtle Farm, visit to Hell, snorkelling, diving, etc.

We've been a couple of times by cruise ship and spent a week at The Reef. While we had a great time there for the day, I wouldn't spend another week there. DH and I are pretty active and we were both bored after about 4 days. We were definitely ready to go home at the end of the week. The island isn't all that big, so not much to explore.
