One of the best parts about a WDW vacation is the excitement leading up to it. Those 2 weeks before you are set to leave that just cant go by fast enough, the same 2 weeks that by the last few nights of your stay you wish went by even slower!:cool1:

How people can go more then a year at a time without a visit is a mystery to me! I would seriously go mad! Sometimes I consider breaking my 2 week trip up so I can go every 6 months!:rotfl:

As vacation club members, we were looking foward to another year at The Villas over in the Wilderness Lodge. That is by far our favorite resort hands down. This year with the opening of the Villas over at the AKL we figured we try them out for our 2nd week. This was sure to be a special year!:dance3:

We had a long drive from RI but managed to pull into Disney way early! Our ressies were for checking in on Sunday, we arrived at 3am saturday night. We pulled into the WL to see if by chance we could pay cash for a room that night even though it was most over. THERE WERE ABSOLUTLY NO ROOMS!!! This place was at capacity. At the desk we made mention on how we drive down in an RV, the CM asked if we had the RV in the lot, we said yes and she said we could just spen the night in the lot and gave me a parking pass which I thought was super nice and way above and beyond as Im sure there were rooms at the PoP or AS's. :goodvibes

I set the alarm for 7am so we could check in, I have discovered that even though check in is not until 3, and they really dont do the whole "room ready" bit anymore, you still should check in very early if possible as they release the best rooms first! This is what we were told and it proved to be very true as our WL room was in the perferct location! We had the corner room right above the sliding door to the pool. it took us seconds to go to the pool!:yay:

There was a very big issue with our luggage. I am the hot tempered of the two and tend to blow up over the smallest situations. I was not happy about the luggage thing. Joe was his normal relaxed self. Later he told me that my very large diamond was in his laptop bag among the "missing" luggage!!! How on earth was he so calm! lol:guilty:

He later told me that he could not act even slightly off from the norm or I would have known there was something very special in one of those bags and he was VERY right! :bride:

After finally getting our luggage I wanted to go for a swim and he said he would meet me later (he wanted to make sure the ring was still in the bag!) I had NO CLUE! lol:flower3:

After a brisk swim we were off to the Poly for a late lunch at Kona. We both had the Kona club which was HUGE and could easily feed 3! FOr our first meal of 2007 it lived up to every expectation as did the service!:)

I wont do a step by step day by day report as we were there for 16 days and truth be told, I really cant remember every detail! I will report on our highlights!:scared1:

We had ressies tuesday night for CRT, we had a party of 7. Cinderella gave us two beautiful photos with that mega-watt smile of hers then we were off to dinner!princess:

I have never had so much fun! and despite reports that the food is "so-so" we really enjoyed it. I had the Pork Tenderloin and am pleased to report that it was one of the best pork dishes I have every placed upon my pallette. The men in our group all had the prime rib and they spent the next 2 weeks raving about how good it was! We got some great shots of the Fairy Godmother and if I ever get around to going through the 900+ pictures we took this past trip I will be sure to add them to this post!princess:

DF and I had breakfast ressies the next AM for Ohannas! When we have kids, we are going to alternate every other trip with character dining blowouts! I was very happy we made so many character dining ressies as we had as much fun as the kids! Disney breakfast is mostly the same everywhere, with the exception of a few, especially Boma, that is the most unique b-buffet we have ever done and we did that 3 times this trip!

We tried boma/dinner for the first time and were thrilled to find our Zebra Domes laid out for the taking! Let me tell you, We had a dessert plate that would make a nutrionalist cringe! I took a pic of that too and hopefully will get around to posting it! I will have dreams about that plate of goodness for a very long time!

Concourse steakhouse was very good. Oh my god, I got the prime rib cheesesteak!!!! YUMMMYYYYYY!!!!!!

Donalds breakfast buffet was a great time as well! The CM's were so nice to guests without kids (I figured we would get overlooked by the characters)
there was this one elderly lady with her daughter they were so cute. Mickey soent about 10 minutes with them making the experiance very special for them. The daughters camera was broken and Mickey actually took it ... held his finger up as if to say, "hang on a sec pal!" and he walked away with it. When he came back, the camera was fixed! it was like the papparazzi around these two as everyone was taking pictures!!! lol that was so nice of the cast!:goodvibes

I am not so pleased to report that despite timing our AK breakfast perfectly to get a jump on the opening crowds for Everest, we ran to the ride and would have been first in line but the ride was "down for technical difficulties" this happened on a very disappointing *3 different mornings!* I guess that ride enjoys sleeping in or something! lol:sad1:

I also just must report that there is a "tea" stand at AK, over in Asia I believe, and they have a FANTASTIC slushie berry tea drink that was the most refreshing thing I have ever had. Stop by and grab one of those, you will not be disappointed!popcorn::

Well, I need a break. My e-ring is weighing down my left hand! lol hehe:snooty:

More to come soon!
